I'm looking forward to having a mooch around this, I've heard good things about other ones.

sad face - postponed until November - which is also christmas lights switch on (which might be interesting)

With great sadness we have had to come to the unfortunate decision to cancel tomorrows Stafford Makers Market. We have been monitoring the wind and unfortunately the forecast has not improved and in fact worsened, consequently we have had to come to this unfortunate decision to keep our stallholders safe and the public.
We can't wait to join you Stafford on Saturday 18th of November.

There's a market at Church Eaton tomorrow if you fancy a mooch there instead; 10 til 1.

Sad face also. My Mother's visiting this weekend and I'd planned to take her to this. Now got to think of something else to amuse her. I'm assuming Trentham will be closed as well if the weather is bad :(

Second sad face - I've plans for the November date so can't make that either :(

I'm trying to think an alternative for you to go to. The National Trust properties are still open (Attingham near Shrewsbury is very good). Lichfield as you may well know is good. Cosford Air Museum is good on a wet day (good any day infact!)

Monthly craft market in Stone, Saturday 21 Oct.
The abandoned Stafford makers market would have been in direct competition with it.

Thanks for the recommendations. I think we'll do Lichfield if Trentham is closed. I'd really like to do Cosford but don't think it's my Mother's thing. I have to go through Shrewsbury to get to my parents, so shall save Attingham for a stop off en-route.

STAFFORD MAKERS MARKET CANCELLED

With huge regret we have made the decision to cancel Saturdays Stafford Makers Market due to the high forecasted wind speeds.

The wind levels predicted by met office are constant wind speeds of 22-23 mph with gusts of 42-43 mph from 12 noon. Unfortunately these are not acceptable levels to operate safely.

We do apologise for any inconvenience caused, it is not a decision we have made lightly.

We look forward to seeing you all again next month.....

Get it in the diary!.... Saturday April 21st
