Apothecary - Travelodge
Shire Hall - Prince's Trust
Chetwynd - Great British Kitchen
I think the best thing to do with the old Post Office is to open up the kind of fine-dining, posh-cocktail, ultra-expensive establishment for which there is absolutely no demand in Stafford itself and for which people from miles around will flock, abandoning those types of establishment in Birmingham, Manchester, Shrewsbury etc etc. If that could be combined with staff, by and large, treating customers like dirt, then all to the good.
Just because that's failed twice before, doesn't mean that it won't be successful the third time of asking.
Now you're just being silly.I think this is at least the third failure already.
it would make an ideal venue for a place where one could manage all one's interactions with state organisations, a bit like post offices used to be.
I think there is a demand for what the post office / apothecary offers, unfortunatey it has been poorly managed and delivered.
Agree with Mark.
There areplenty of very good establishments in a Stafford a good portion of which are far from cheap.when people are paying good money they rightfully expect close to perfection, good service and value for the money they spend. Consistent underperformance will mean people vote with their feet.
That said, the three times I went to the Apothecary between October and December it was rammed. Could be something else was going on and we may never know the true reason. I hear (rumor) business rates kicked in and it was a put off
I guess he's more influenced by his own experience than by what he's read on the forum.Gareth, read the posts on here and you'll see where it has gone under. Shit customer service, shit attitudes, shit food, shit management. All in all - a pile of shit. F all to do with rates.
