I used Sainsbury's handy Pick Up Point this morning -

- managed to get some bird into the car without even offering her a sweet, and she wasn't drunk, although it was quite early...

(attempting to ) Revive this thread. Are the single people here still single?

Where are good places to meet other singletons in Stafford?

I'm still single, dunno about the others. As for where, depends on your age range and the sort of person you want to attract!

I was very impressed in the gin bar in Market Square on Saturday, I was approached at the bar and asked where people 'our age' go in Stafford. Apparently our age is low 30s, when I said I wasn't in my 30's she thought she'd offended me. I'm 42 next week so was happy with that! :D

Casa - younger end of the spectrum generally
Weatherspoons - Bit of a range but again generally younger end.
Couture - Dunno, not been in since the early 2000s
Swan - Slightly older, generally better behaved due to bar prices being fairly high for Stafford

Err......

I prefer pubs to clubs, so can usually be found somewhere like the bird in hand or the floodgate (real ale micropub - not somewhere I'm likely to pull because it's 95% blokes but your mileage may well vary!). The Sun aint too bad considering, there is a beer festival there at the end of the month I think which usually attracts a fair few.

Haha, not bad!

Heard good things about Couture! Is it a place I could go on my own?

Dunno on couture. I worked there many years ago, was a different club back then but I never felt the urge to return. Just get on the dancefloor you'll soon meet people, like it or not!
