Stafford Park Run

Oh for goodness sake, stop getting a bee in your bonnet and being so sanctimonious.

Yes, it might be a little bit inconvenient for cyclists or dog walkers but it’s just for an hour or so.
It’s not like it’s taken over the whole weekend.

A year ago you hadn’t run yourself, but you join a running club and now you’re suddenly an expert on where runners should and shouldn’t go.

I personally think (as would most people) “ it’s lovely to see a community get together with an event that incorporates fresh air and exercise”

Oh do feck off.

I walk with my dog there every day and to be honest ....

1. If he likes you he will let you run past with a wag of his tail :)
2. If he doesn't like you he will bark and growl when you run past . ;)

Or 3.
If I don't like you , he will be ordered to kill :D

Oh do feck off.

How very hypocritical you are.

On the food bank thread, which you started, you say something along the lines of
“It’s only my opinion so don’t get abusive”

Any yet you feel it necessary to get abusive to others when they disagree with you.

All parkruns are weekly unless there is something else that is taking place at the same location (such as Canicross at Cannock Chase).

The problem with you is that you don't discuss points you throw personal insults. In this post I'm a hypocrite. In your last one I'm sanctimonious. Differences of opinion are fine, personal insults not so much.

So I stand by my last post...do feck off.

I ran the park run. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Little tight at the beginning but it evened out, runners were informed prior to the run they don't have right of way. Didn't find any issue with on coming runners, great support from spectators.
If you feel you have useful input to share with the race director then why not offer to join the organising team? Rather than walk against the park run why not walk beside them as do many other dog walkers. For one hour a week with runners attending the town and many supporting the local businesses as they stop for coffee or a shop in town it is s good thing for the town. It's a fantastic, free, inclusive community activity.

Well whatever. I’m not going to rise to it.

Peace, joy and love to you in this season of goodwill.

Personally had a rubbish run today due to unjury. Still loved seeing young and old, human and dog, experienced and novices enjoying the run. Bizarrely I noticed two dog walkers stood still in the middle of the path, two a breast, very reluctant to step to the side, in fact to some it might appear they were deliberately obstructing.. but surely no one would deliberately do this? Crazy thought.

Wasn't me, I took the dogs up to the railway line at Haughton whilst doing a card drop there.

Quite a refreshing walk and not a sole in sight on the old track.
