I just came across this announcement that Channel 4 are commisioning a TV drama about the scandals surrounding Stafford DGH.

Not soo sure what to think about this?

I'm huessing a lot of the filming will need to take place in Stafford and possibly the march to save the hospital too to be re-enacted?

The filmimg will likely take place in the cheapest locations

A few signs cost very little

The majority audience won't know or care

Not good at all. The staff who work/ed there could be subject to a witch hunt all over again. I've had nothing but good experiences from the hospital in the last few years, they did their very best through some distressing times with very little resource.

It will raise the profile of the town in a great way. I can see coach trips arriving at the hospital. We may even be able to used some unused wards as airbnb.

Look what TV has done for Brentwood :

The Only Way Is Essex (often abbreviated as TOWIE) is a BAFTA award-winning British scripted reality television soap opera based right here in Brentwood.
It has helped to put Brentwood on the map, and there's a whole host of great TOWIE businesses in and around Brentwood which are run by stars of the show.

It's also boosted tourism in Brewood, amongst the illiterate.

Why wouldnt she be?
Because had her 'crusade' led to changes in a few specific departments that needed to change their practice, then fair enough. However, her 'crusade' led to perfectly functioning, and nationally respected, departments being closed.
She, JB, can rot as far as I care as an important and vital service has been downgraded and this will, and already has, had an impact on a far greater number of people.
Lucky for JB thatt she will never have to access UHNM as things are no better there - in fact my partner and her colleagues state it's worse than Stafford.
If you value JB's ''work' then I feel you're in the minority.

I believe doing nothing was never an option

I believe the majority will moan, groan, and chatter online, and then carry on voting for the same people who enabled the cuts to services, standards and staff to continue.

In ignorance , en masse

I can't explain this behaviour

Hospitals were always going to be centralised , but the budgets for the NHS are deliberately held back as a political act .

Well as long as labour don't get in as all this (as with masses of other hospitals) was under their watch.

I presume you read this in the Daily Mail.
I'm a bit old fashioned and like to deal in facts.

Apparently American money is funding the drama and so far Pamela Anderson has been pencilled in for the Julie Bailey role with Dwayne Johnson as Mid Staffs NHS Trust boss Martin Yeates.
