Playstation 4 VR

Hi! All. Here's a question for all you Gamers and Techy Types! I want to buy a PlayStation 4 1Tb with VR headset and controller. Also two normal controllers.and a few games for my Grandchildren. I can't seem to find anywhere that does a complete package. I'm reluctant to buy it all separately as I know I'll buy the wrong bits. Any help of what to buy and where to buy it all would be greatfully accepted. Thanks.

Just asked youngest. He says either Amazon or CEX.
Amazon, yes expensive but you should get all you want there.
Cex, second hand, but you do get a 2 year warranty with it.

...also GAME in the highstreet or online.

You would need to buy the playstation pro ( latest version) as its much more powerful than the first revision.

Theres only one VR headset so you cant go wrong with that and the controller that comes with the ps4 will work with the VR . you may need a extra controller for dual play though.

you can download digital games from the playstation store , however its much cheaper to get games on disc from amazon or game uk .

plenty of demo's on the playstation store to try before you buy . when shopping for discs though , look on the box and it will say if its VR ready .

playstation store has a sale on at the moment on a lot of VR content too .

hope this helps.

One caveat: if you just use the PS4 controller that comes with the console there’s a number of games that won’t work as they expect the Move controllers

Just be wary when buying games as some will need these Move controllers to work at all, and some will be improved with them.

@Aspguitars if you’re finding this is suddenly a lot more expensive than you expected perhaps look at Oculus Quest, it’s a stand-alone VR headset. The game library is quite small right now but constantly growing. The games aren’t as visually stunning as the PSVR stuff but not being tethered by a wire is quite an experience in itself.

Just make sure you let them have a go. Historically this stuff gets bought for the kids/grandkids and everyone else wants a go ;)
