It looks like today is the day - the grid outside my house has just been taped over, to prevent the gravel from falling down it, I suppose - which seems largely superfluous, as the perforated curbstones run the whole length of the street...I have received notice that Sandon Road is to be "resurfaced", using the gravel and gunge method, at some undefined point in the near future. A shame, really, it seems to be still largely OK north of Lotus lights, apart from the many Severn Trent bodges.
They are re-gravveling Stone Rd, should be open again by nowEntrance to Acton Trussell by J13 completely closed off from A449 tonight when I've just come past. Signs on the Northbound just before J13 saying A449 was closed, and those signs saying the same on the slip road off. But A449 was open in Stafford direction.
Sandon road between Beaconside and lights by the Shell garage had just had piles of gravel plonked on it this afternoon. Think I must have been one of the first to drive over it as the lorries were still there parked up, even crawling along I could hear my car being pelted with stones underneath.d
Stone road entrance towards town was closed off by Redhill island as well at 4pm.

I see the new spattering of gravel has already started wearing through on the Newport road.
What's the point if you don't relay the road surface properly?
I've seen deeper snow in the middle of July than the depth of whatever they use nowadays.
On Sandon Road, because the brushes rotate forwards on the outside of the vehicle, and the brushes were mostly riding up the kerb, a lot of the 'gutter grit' was just being swept into the perforated kerb drains...I followed the sweeper up Newport Road this afternoon, and it did seem to be picking up the stones that had been previously stuck to the surface.
Is Angel Dust tax-deductible?Went up Stone Road yesterday. I think I’m gonna need another clear-coat stick for my bonnet...
My PCP return is going to be fun.
