I've just spotted the diversion is about 8 miles. Everyone is ignoring it.

What are those large metal poles that have been tied onto the railings on the Gaolgate large roundabout? I have seen 3, mostly near to the crossings. Are these cameras to monitor traffic flow or some other kind of device?

Red Light Cameras, not soon enough although I hope they employ hundreds of staff to issue the tickets otherwise they are going to be inundated with images.

It seems the general rule in Stafford is that 3 cars are allowed to drive through when the light turns red, didn't you know? :heyhey:

There is one of these in the centre of the roundabout also where 2 pavements cross. Is it monitoring pedestrian flow rather than cars??

Are they planning to demolish the roundabout and creating a shared space? Or a burger roundabout?? Or going to change the crossings into puffin crossings??
It's a megaphone, used to shout at the twats that block the yellow boxes, and idiots that refuse to let you merge on Chell Rd

The positive would be that people might think they are cameras and might adhere to the rules of the road. I appreciate this is Stafford and might is doing a lot of heavy lifting here.

Went to Walton,Stone this evening, drove the scenic route back, Great Bridgeford, Cresswell etc.
Just as I was coming into Cresswell a Farty Fiat 500 (Reg no.FY14 EBD)pulled out on me, had slam my brakes on,
No, I wasn't going fast, my headlights were on and any idiot could have seen me.
How do some people manage pass their driving tests?
