Heard that mentioned last night on Portugal news, asking parents not to offload kids onto grandparents whilst schools were closed . Kids can carry it but could have no symptoms, but could kill their grandparents by passing it to themIt must be really difficult being there but as I see it if they close the schools kids would be looked after by grandparents who are most at risk.
The child has come home feeling ill today, its probably just drama queen stuff. But, I expect the schools to announce they will close by monday. Keep safe lovely teacher (emergency worker, cleaner, forces, police, Dr's, nurses) the same as you, us in retail are on the front line, you are doing a great job and we truly appreciate it. XOkay so I'm just putting it out there...
As a high school teacher (in a school of 2000 students)
We really shouldn't be here!
It seems crazy to me that you can't go to the pub but being surrounded by unhygienic teenagers is okay??
If you can organise other childcare please do (although it's worth noting the young are the least at risk)
The only reason we are open is to support the economy and keep parents at work.
I suppose that's rather skeptical but that's my view of the situation!
I hope everyone is well xxx
Thought this was scaremongering to start off with, but the science seems sound.
Paracetamol all the way if symptoms are suspected.
Creates a problem for the people for whom paracetamol is completely ineffective.
So the advice is stay inside and self isolate, but I have kids and a job (to be fair, my job yesterday said they don't want to see me in the office again so I'm at home with a VPN getting up at 5am trying to achieve something before it all crashes again at 9.15) I need to eat so I need to go out, If I find a shop with what I need and buy enough loo roll to last me to the 4th April I'm considered a selfish twat, and if I buy a pack of 6 rolls then before then I get to expose myself repeatedly to being seriously ill.
I don't know what the answer is.

I have quite a bit of loo roll (I always buy in 36s) and I don't think I'm that far away from you. I could deliver you some tomorrow if you need. I'm still in the office today so can't do it til then.I've been feeling uneasy for a while, but yesterday when I heard on the news that 20,000 fatalities would be considered a 'good' outcome was the first time it became more than that. I'm trying not to over react, but am considered to be higher risk if I get that virus than some due to a previous health condition.
I've spent the last hour or so gathering up the Ibroprufen, that's now all in a box behind the general medicine, the problem I now have is that I didn't panic buy and when I did decide to get a few supplies ibuprofen was pretty much all that was left in the shops, now I'm back to square one and on the hunt for Calpol.
I tried to book a Tesco delivery last night, it's all good as long as I don't want to eat anything prior to Saturday 4th April. I went to 8 shops on Monday looking for loo roll, I'm down to my last roll.
