Ours don't go through the letterbox, postie puts on step rings bell and goes to stand half way down the drive. I open door say thanks, he leaves.
Mine come in a giant carrier bag, although I collect them myself still as I'm out at work most days.

They've opened the Upper Tamar Lake footpath from today so when I'd finished painting I did my usual walk. First time for two months. Only saw one other person and distancing is easy as it's a good path. It's not far from me distance wise, but a little tricky to get to with narrow country lanes.

I normally do the 3.2 miles circumvention in under an hour but today it took me 1 hour and 11 minutes.. That's under 3 mph. Not good .. :(

I do wish folk using the Chase would keep their dogs on a lead when they see other people if their dogs can't be properly controlled.

An owner tried to come right up to us to retrieve his (perfectly friendly) dog who was sniffing around us and got told in no uncertain terms to back the hell off. Got very shirty about it. Twat.

Yes. We always approach walkers with dogs running loose with a certain amount of trepidation. There have been no "incidents" yet, but it's just a matter of time. (A dog running just ahead of a jogger this morning got a little close, but my body language and with its owner being close by persuaded it to move on.)

It's not the dogs I'm worried about. It's the owners.

Dogs can be carriers too, you know, though not through their breath. There were instructions several weeks ago about keeping your cats indoors and your dogs under control. Both are members of the household, a bit like kids really (no respecters of social distancing).

I saw that around Wildwood ringroad the other week as well with someone walking a dog loose . They walked off in front on their phone whilst their dog was running back up the road to someone walking behind with their dog. They were more or less touching the other owner as they retrieved their dog .

I know people who get their controlled drugs off that bloke who hangs around by the phone box, he doesn't require a signature, either,
I think he might be socially isolating, last few times I've been past he's been on the (old) Antelope wall, not the post office wall.

Not to worry, it's still drug delivery day as per normal elsewhere. :heyhey:

Link to post office complaints site has just arrived in my inbox , 3 weeks after being sent . Looks like anything to do with Royal Mail doesn't like our house ....
Son sent me a link , via email a few weeks ago , to complain to the Post Office (not that it will do much good , so probably waste of time bothering) about lots of our post not arriving at all, or being pushed through at night by various different people as it's been pushed through their letter boxes instead. Still not had the debit card posted out before the lockdown yet...looks like that's been binned by whoevers letterbox it got pushed through. Hubby's wage slip arrived 2 months late in a post office plastic bag, with apologies for it being torn into pieces, could tell not by a machine but by hand. Pretty sure we don't look that scary enough to scare the post man off approaching our house ...
