That's one of my most favourite places on the Chase.

If you are really lucky you might see a Marsh Harrier there, not that i have been so.

Last time i was there i was there for an age - there was a Nightingale singing to the left and just back a bit, it was a day that looked like yours, i lay down and listened to him belt it out. Blue sky above and music below and it was good.

We went for a walk round Tucklesholme (former) quarry near Burton yesterday - Beautiful!

EDIT: I've somehow strayed from the "Today I saw" thread?

Actually they appear to have been damselflies?

Anyway, also saw a few of the more usual flappy buggers (bird number 2 had also spotted the damselflies).

Please don't laugh, but some of us are still in the stoneage when it comes to distance. Miles and Inches etc. How far is 10km when translated into old money?
