Jobs for the weekend.

I miss Monty telling me what I need to get done.

Jobs for the weekend, a couple of raised veg beds, planting some wild flower seeds and a new washing line.

The weather looks glorious, what’s everyone else up to?

Our usual walk to Red Lion Farm this morning, and I'm volunteering at The Kingston Centre again tomorrow.

In between times I need to sow some chilli seeds and sort out the competition diary for the return of golf in a month.

That sounds nice, I’ve got a list as long as my arm to get done. Above is just the edited version.

I'm at work on my weekend off, stupidly thinking it would be cold and dull all weekend I agreed to 9hs overtime today, and 6hrs overtime tomorrow... truly regretting that decision now.

Gardening again today!

So far we've cleared two thirds and collected 4 tonnes of rubbish. I don't mean garden waste, actual crap - BBQ's, burnt out fridge freezers, mattresses, glass, crockery!

It's an absolute crime - I really don't understand how someone ever thinks it's okay to just sling crap at the end of the garden?!?

Try living here, *drug dealer next door has part of his garden blocked off with fencing panels. Behind this make shift barrier is at least 2 beds, a settee, washing maching and I know of 1 cooker. Along with various bikes etc.
My ex brother in law was once told that it's something that is done on the rougher council estates.

*Alleged drug dealing scum.

It just makes no sense to me at all!

I would never dream of littering outside but why the hell would you litter on your own property??

Another 13 rubble sacks filled today!

.

Late mother in law's lawn starting sinking years ago. Turns out someone had buried a whole car under the garden. Estate was so rough they weren't really so surprised ( I was delayed starting back home to Stafford from there once, the cops had sealed off the end of the road as a gun battle was happening a few houses down from hubby's house. No- one else thought it much of a drama...)

In the days before council rubbish collections it was quite common for people to have rubbish dumps at the bottom of their gardens, particularly in rural areas.

My weekend plans went out of the window when we had 4 unexpected new arrivals yesterday.

One orphaned and three rejected lambs, one only hours old.

The Kids love them, whether they will still be loving 6 am bottle feeds in a few weeks remains to be seen.

One seems to be thriving but I’ve got three with various issues and I’m learning on the job, hopefully we can get them through!

Everyone should get themselves a lamb! They are such a tonic in this miserable start to the year. This is Enid, she has the waggiest tail I’ve ever seen.
