Message from Staffs Police. Keep an eye out.
Last night at 7.40pm, we received a report of two Cocker Spaniels being stolen from an address in Tinkers Lane in Brewood, within the previous hour - one is chocolate coloured and one black. Ages are 7 & 10yrs old. One has been spayed and they would be no use to anyone wanting to breed from them.
There were several other attempt theft of dogs last night around similar times in the surrounding areas - Calf Heath, Brewood and Coven. The vehicle mentioned as being involved is a black Audi, potentially an A4 or A5 style but unfortunately we have no registration number yet.
At the Tinkers Lane address, it is believed offenders got to the address across fields with sheep and horses in so may not have parked the vehicle in Tinkers Lane, but elsewhere.
This is a request for anyone with ANY information which may help Police with our enquiries. If anyone saw a black/dark Audi acting suspiciously last night in these areas, near addresses where there are dogs, please contact Police. If anyone has any CCTV footage in any of these areas, please consider checking it between about 6-8.30pm last night to see if there are any sightings of this car or anything else suspicious.
If you have any information which may help, please call 101 and quote incident 647, 5th March 2021. Officers will be in Tinkers Lane and Brewood areas this morning, so feel free to speak to them if you see them.
