Mad Cat Woman
Back from Barnstaple having been read the riot act by the Oncologist. (A rather good looking Indian lady.) I was half expecting a Billy Connolly type Prostate exam but apparently they don't do that anymore ... (thank f***.)

I'm on something of a life changing regimen but she assured me metastatic prostate cancer is one of the most treatable types of the dreaded 'C' word. Since I'm pragmatic by nature, I said: "So I'm not necessarily on the end game then ... ?" at which she laughed.

Good enough for me. ;)

 That's lovely to hear. We can keep you as Chief Nuker for a bit longer then? xx

I'd like to hear more about the rather good looking Indian lady.......

I'm up at 0230 hours because of the noise of the wind outside. It's blowing a proper hooley out there. I gave some thought to venturing out to see if there was any aerial damage in the offing.

Well that thought lasted about 10 milliseconds. :hmm:

Appear to have messed up the ASDA delivery today :xd: Or at least I think the problems they've had with their recurring slots this week might be to blame.

(many people had their recurring slots change to a different day this week for no reason)

Basically, I thought we'd been given the wrong order as there were lots of things we hadn't ordered in there so we handed it back to the driver and were given a number to ring. Eventually, I figured out it was the "placeholder" order I'd put in when I booked the slot weeks ago, unchanged.

At the same time as I was doing the order for today, I was looking to see if I could book a delivery for the 8th April but it would only go to the 4th. What appears to have happened is the order I put in today got shifted to a booking on 7th April (the "incorrect" day as per the problems they're having with recurring slots), even though that date wasn't available to me at the time so I don't think it's something I could have done by mistake.

Either way, got a refund and a replacement delivery for Saturday so no harm done. Just an incredibly stressful morning to show for it! XD

My weekly Tesco order is usually the other way around. Ordered items invoiced for , but missing. (At least their customer service are spot on and refund straightaway)

You haven't got my missing M&S order in there as well have you ???

Going to ask M&S for a full refund if Royal Mail haven't located it by next Monday.

Pleased to say the Hermes lady finally arrived with my long awaited Matalan order ok. (Hermes got it out to me quickly as soon as they got it, just Matalan being crap )

And just been told my wine ordered last night is despatched and on it's way :D DPD are usually good delivering it..........

Oh, yeah we’re not on Economy 7

Most likely I’ll move to Agile once I change cars, I don’t trust Nissan’s servers to actually be reliable enough to switch charging on/off in line with the plunges

So, weird coincidence given we were just talking about this... Scottish Power called me today insisting they could offer a better deal. So I let them go through a quote, fair enough. Turns out our gas usage is half the national average so I guess my investment in Smart TRVs was worth it at least.

They ended the call very quickly when the best offer they could give is 4p higher standing and 2p higher unit rate than we currently have. It's not like I didn't warn them either. Seems it's a good way to be marked "never call this person" too (they said they'd do this, didn't even ask) as it's a waste of time.

Did my good deed for the month getting a new fence panel for the neighbour and installing it this afternoon after one of hers blew down overnight.

Nearly trashed a few cars in the Hough car park trying to carry it back to the Crossings estate in the wind but got there in one piece!!

I trust you regularly check uSwitch?

I trust you regularly check uSwitch?

I have notifications on for it, but just checked now and the most I can save is £17/year... given I usually get at least one referral in a year it’s not really worth it.

Octopus Agile is on the agenda anyway, then comparisons go out the window unless uSwitch add support for feeding half hourly reads

Not sure how they could compare, how far in advance do octopus publish?

They’d probably have to just use historic data, I think they publish a few days in advance but I don’t have an account to check with. They definitely do publish at least 24 hours in advance though as a negative rate generally gets picked up in various EV groups

In 6 days time it will be a year since the boss came and got hubby set up working from home "For a few weeks" until Covid was over...

I've told him this morning that he's going to have to get a date to return back to the office , I can't take much more of this !

His boss won't entertain the idea until at least 3 weeks after his 2nd jab , and when hubby suggested the other day a possible return in June or July , said only as long as infection rates are going the right way. Roll on June and hopefully no more lockdowns or restrictions imposed !

Couldn't even go to the door myself when the dishy DPD bloke , who always has a laugh and joke with me, knocked with my wine . Hubby had to come and supervise me
