Holidays 2021

We've booked a week in June for the same holiday cottage in Poole that we've got booked in for March and April, in the hope of actually getting there for one of the weeks. Owner isn't taking any deposits or anything until holidays actually take place , so got in early before restrictions uneasing is announced and everyone else starts booking for UK.
Owner agrees that most unlikely the March one will be taking place , and most likely we'll cancel the April one as well as their infection rates down there are very high.

Going to look for a holiday cottage elsewhere in UK for later in the summer as well.

Never been to Scotland , and have always wanted to treat hubby to a Whisky Distillery tour for his birthday in August, so may look at that.

Got LOADS of holidays to book with carrying them all over :)

Just rang and extended our June booking in the Poole cottage to a fortnight instead :D, now that our March and April ones are cancelled. Intend to drive out more exploring other areas during the day then for a change.

Luckily that week following our original booking was one of the few still free this morning . Looking at the booking calendar it's suddenly filling up fast! Feel so excited I've actually been able to nab it (and 10% discount) before anyone else jumped in , and sooooo looking forwards to it.:bananafunk:
Fingers crossed this one actually gets to go ahead ....

Owner still isn't taking any payment until the week before , as restrictions could change again. And even then , if we pay and suddenly find ourselves unable to go for any reason , the money is refunded straight away.

Arran. I want to stare at Ailsa Craig all day, like I used to do every summer holiday for 27 years but from Ayrshire.

Also going to take my Dad who hasn't been anywhere since October 2019, and will have missed 3 of his month long trips to Spain by then.
Love Arran especially the quieter west coast south of Lochranza. often travel that way to the Mull of Kintyre.

I rearranged a family holiday that should have happened last May to this May. We are off to Wales. I'm hoping we will be able to go.

I have also booked a holiday to Disneyland Paris in October. Wife and I have now been vaccinated (1st dose), so im hoping that if a covid vaccine passport is bought in we will be okay.

Holiday cottage in Scotland cancelled due to the restrictions unlikely to be lifted enough in time for 2 households to share. Have booked 2 cottages next to each other in Cromer instead.

To give me something to look forward to I've booked a cottage in Wells-next-the-sea for a week in June which also coincides with the Superbikes at Snetterton.

Hopefully things will be a bit more normal by then.

Superbikes has now been moved to September and the cottage in Wells-next-the-Sea isn't available so I've booked another one just outside Southwold instead.

Also booked a small cottage in Embsay for the original June week so hopefully get some walking and beers in with my son if the hip holds out.

We should have been away in the motor home for Easter so we need to change dates for that.

We were hoping to go out to our place in Spain in May. Thankfully we've not booked flights, we're waiting to see how the land lies. Can't see that happening until late summer.

Got a holiday booked to Skiathos in June, not sure that will be happening either.

Week in the motor home booked for North Devon end of June.

So it's looking like we might have to start booking more things for home rather than away.

There's good lobsters there too I'm told.
I always meant to stop off in Cromer on my way to or from Sheringham but never did.
If @Lucy fancys some great lobster, just along from Cromer is Overstrand, head towards the coast there and there is a small stall selling dressed lobster and crab.
Between Cromer in the north and Hemsby in the south that area of Norfolk is my favourite place in the UK. I lived there briefly as a teenager and have returned many times.

Had been contemplating booking a Safari Lodge in West Midlands Safari park sometime this year , if covid restrictions allowed. Just looked at booking site and every lodge is completely sold out from 12th April for everynight throughout the rest of the year.
Taking bookings for 2022 now , but not sure whether hubby would go mad with me for splashing out £518 a night for his birthday :hmm:

I'm not a huge lobster fan but do like crab. I'm there for my birthday so looking for a restaurant that will do good seafood but also meat dishes for the OH. There's a place called Hot Rocks that looks like it may fit the bill.

If you are in a car can I suggest a trip to Mundesley. Its not a full day excursion but if the weather is good a beautiful place to have a wander round.

Booked nothing, got next week off but can't even use my own caravan as its over the border. Dogs will mean limited chance for foreign travel anyway.

I have a harbourside 2 bed apartment booked for a week in Weymouth. Third year on the trot to the town so it must have its charm. Not in the motorhome this year as we wanted to be able to get to the beach without the car.
I have a couple of long weekends booked, time that is, and will book a campsite for those soon.
