wanna see my snake?
I'm looking for insurance for Ollie, and just thought I'd take a closer look at the insurance for Mango. I'm with More Than, and it seems their 'preferred vet network' doesn't even have one in Stafford. If I use a different vet I get charged more, and I quite like Park House and would prefer to go there TBH.

Does anyone have insurance recommendations that you can use anywhere? Or if Park House are in a specific referral network?

I have a stairgate that you can have if you want it. It's no use to me now that Bee can't get up the stairs and she sleeps happily in her bed downstairs anyway.

It's extendable but don't know how wide you need it to be.

Is it a screw in one, or pressure? I found some stupidly cheap ones on amazon at 6am yesterday, but was half asleep (dog woke me up) and didn't realise they needed screwing in. Arriving today, may be fine, but if not I may take you up on that offer!

I use Animal Friends and they paid out when I had to have George put down at Park House.

Bit late to the party with this one but my parents had an issue with Island vets, not sure of all the details but some medication was incorrectly labelled and caused an overdose, then when challenged for sending a bill for 'treatment' that resulted in the cat dying due to their incompetence Island Vets instigated legal action for non payment. Basically just bully's, they paid it in the end only because they had neither the time or inclination to go to court to defend the claim.

On another note Shire's are brilliant - we lost our lovely 14 year old collie last week and they couldn't have done more for him, first at the Stafford branch then at Stone for further tests, they were quick and efficient they made time for him and when it was apparent there was nothing to be done they let us be with him, well after hours so we could say good bye. I will forever be grateful for the lovely vet who looked after him. I cannot fault Shire, we've used them for years, they're not the cheapest but not everything is about money.

It's a pressure one that can be easily removed (hopefully not by doggies) and moved to another location.

Just let me know if you want it and I'll drop it round.

I've accidentally adopted another cat...

The RSPCA called me as they have another feral cat that needs a patient and rural home.

Who could say no to this weirdo face??

Gorgeous! Our Boots is 12 now, too old be introduced to another Cat or Kitten.
I would love another, but I also want my home back. No wallpaper ripped to shreds, no claw marks on the settees. And I can't wait to get rid of the dirtboxes.
