Incidentally, how did people feel when they got their first jab? I imagine I'll find it quite a relief and even a bit emotional!

Yeah, cheers, I was thinking of doing it via the website. It still says 38 and over at the min but it's just been on the news that 37yo's will be offered it from tomorrow so I'll keep an eye on it.

Yeah that’ll explain why it’s accepting them from today then.

They update the backend the day before, then change the UI in the morning. Usually they do it at like 10pm but I guess they did it early today if it’s accepting 37 year olds already

I've had both jabs, I don't feel relief at all, I'm still warey that I can catch it, it could still kill me, or I could pass it on to other people and kill them. I still don't feel 'safe'. I still don't want to be near to people, I don't want to give up my mask, I certainly don't want to hug anyone.... But I was like that before covid....

Luckily, such madness has not reached my location yet and I have had sufficient warning to make a start on fashioning a couple of bargepoles.

I'm totally not fussed but just curious, does anyone know what the deal is with people my age being offered a choice of vaccine? Does that choice happen on the day? I thought it might have popped up in the booking process but there was no mention.

I'll probably go for the Pfizer if offered just because neither of my parents had any negative reaction to it, but I'll happily take any.

I don't think you specifically choose, the system will have allocated you Pfizer.
Do Kingston Centre do the Pfizer now?

Also , is the covid testing centre at Kingston centre in the same building by fairway as it was before, now that vaccinations are also taking place there?

Apparently they started on Pfizer yesterday, I am not exactly sure how it's organised but when I believe there might be 2 different routes. The system tells us what you're having when we check you in.

I've booked the OH in there so I think they'll be doing Pfizer every day now.

Yes, the test centre has always been in the same building but it's in a different part, I don't know how I get there internally...

Just ran out the front door to the Showground having recieved notice they've got 650 spare jabs they need to use by 3pm on a first come first served basis.

It's busy but moving through quickly and I was in and out with pfeitzer within half an hour

Wait what!? How’d you find that out? Do they have more any left?

Any age limit given it’s Phizer?

My surgery are asking people to call today if they want a vaccine today or tomorrow. Over 30s they're saying.

I had my jab today at the showground. The nurse said they rang the police, fire and council to offer jabs to anybody who hasn't had one already as they had 500 extra doses delivered. It was so busy when I arrived with my appointment but they asked while you were in the que if you have an appointment or walk in. May be worth ringing your surgery to see if you can get in tonight or tomorrow or if your not too far pop in and ask if you can have a walk in.
