Got this email today supposedly from DPD about a delivery. I got immediately suspicious of the email address of origin. Also I wasn't expecting any delivery, and I've found DPD usually advise you on the delivery day so you can track the van online.
I put a bit of faith in my malware protection and went to the site. All looked very DPD-ish except the URL was definitely suspicious. It started to ask me to re-schedule the delivery and stated there was a fee for this. I could pay online. (PHISHING/SCAM ALERT.)

I copied the tracking number from the email and went to the DPD site and entered it. No such delivery exists.

I know it's barbaric, but if I caught these bastards I'd lop their fingers off ... see how they could work a keyboard then. :grr:

I got an email from Yodel a couple of weeks ago. It was about the impending delivery of 'my order from TalkTalk'.

Not having ordered anything from TalkTalk, I managed to forward it to their anti-phishing crew. There seemed to be no other way of contacting anybody.

They then, for some reason, decided to process this as a complaint.

There then followed a bizarre series of emails.

By the time this started properly, I had got another email from Yodel, saying 'my order' had been delivered to 'a neighbour'.

Apart from spelling my name wrong, despite me giving them my account number, they asked me what was in the parcel - "I haven't seen it - I don't know who has got it - I am several hundred miles away" - they then asked me what the label said - they knew I was some considerable distance away and had no knowledge of who had actually got the object. I was losing faith in their detective skills rapidly.

After multiple emails where they either didn't read, understand or bother about what I had actually told them, they decided that there was no order and the whole thing must be a mistake of some sort, if there even was a parcel somewhere.

This all took two or three days - it ended with them assuring me that there was no order in my name and, if anything did turn up, then I could tell them what it was then.

So we closed the 'complaint'.

Then they sent me an email saying that they were sending me a new modem and I must plug it in immediately.

Maybe I'll find it one day.

When reality is this piss-poor, it just makes the scamming easier.

Some of the genuine stuff I've had from HMRC is perfect cover for the scammers to operate under..

Minime will be 16 at 12.30am, old I am feeling.

In other news, new doggo Annie appears to have been attacked by another dog recently, and the vet says she's had pups in the last 3 - 4 months.... No wonder she looks so sad.... Another £200 vet bill to find this out... Poor babby.

Happy Birthday to Minime .

I seem to have missed the news on arrival of Annie. Is she yours @littleme?
Poor little doggie , sounds like she has had a tough time of it . Sending her:hug: from me.

After explaining how it works, actually got hubby to agree fostering rescue dogs was a good idea , during our walk back from the pub tonight....
Will work on him again after our hols later in the year ;).

No @staffordjas, not ours but middle sons, he adopted Cici last year from Penkridge Romanian Rescue, then Annie a few days ago from the sane place. Cici was a puppy, but Annie is about 2, the vet found she has been attacked by another dog, either in Romania or in the foster home, and she's had pups recently... Its no wonder she's subdued and sad...

Awwww they are all adorable  .I remembered you saying son had adopted one a while ago , but missed the news of latest edition.

Only heard of that rescue when it was mentioned one had escaped from there (luckily eventually found wedged between someones conifers and fence nearby) after someone posted on Stig about another dog loose on Silkmore lane at the same time .

I understand that the issue is about to be resolved.

Indeed, it’s related to hosting and not being moved over to a slightly different hosting yet that would support updating the certificate

I imagine it’ll coincide with the forum upgrade
