I'll try and rectify the situation:
An Irish man, an English man and a Scottish man walked into a bar ..............:eek::eek: (SHIT) :pint:

I shall retire to my study and lock the door. There will be the sound of a beer can opening ....... 😬💦

I think I took a wrong turn and went into Birminghams laughably titled clean air zone, unfortunately I can't see any way to tell other than wait for a fine? The alternative is just to pay it on the off chance I did stray, seems a deliberate ploy to not make it easy to find out.

There is a phone number, at the very least I can keep someone employed by annoying them in the morning.
But what pub did you visit?

Are you sure you’re not exempt? You’d be surprised just how many non-EVs don’t have to pay anything.

Popped to get fuel yesterday, for my diesel motorhome. First garage is the Tesco express and at 5pm assumed it would be fuel-less or a queue, no. All good and as such will be heading to Cumbria on Friday.
Today I have been tasked with washing bedding. Is it me or does everyone elses significant other assume that working from home is code for do this list of jobs, today it's the bedding, Monday the laundry, yesterday cut and scarify the grass, and do the back windows. I feel my wife places less value on the work I do versus the work she does.

Yeah, I need to pay it for my vehicle (wouldn't in Bath apparently!), what it won't tell you is if you strayed into the zone? So they are able to fine me because they know, but they won't let me know if they are going to fine me until they fine me. There is no way to ask if you need to pay it. If I lived there I could understand it, but I had no clue where I was or what route I took!

The bin lorries seem to be incredibly well maintained.

It definitely didn’t sound like something from horror flick as it was slowly squealing it’s way down the road

I just checked, out of general interest, as I have no intention of going to any of these places, and I found that my fourteen-year-old 1.4 petrol Getz is exempt from all of them, which surprised me, I must admit.

Mines a 1.6 diesel 60 plate focus, computer says lets charge you more than the fuel cost to get here. Annoying thing is it looks like google took me just inside the zone then straight out again, whereas I could have easily skirted it if I'd realised.

Spouting nonsense since the day I learned to talk
Went to Birmingham today to exchange some clothing. Decided to eat at Ed’s Diner in Selfridges. Lovely food, even if it was ‘just’ burger and chips.

I seem to have developed insomnia.
Trying to reply to @Lucy ' s post , but hasn't worked ....

Also got insomnia , but the norm for me ever since I was a kid.

Given up trying to use the reply button. Bringing up all sorts of previous posts , even on the laptop , and not just the one I wanted to reply to in the first place.

So... apologies for any posts of mine which look total gobble-de-gook whilst trying to get out of the mess I've got in .

Off on my hols soon , so giving up even attempting posting again for a week or so , and hopefully things will be back to normal when I return (if I can find petrol to get back ) .

I thankfully only have it on the days that I have to be up at 5.30am....where I can't sleep past 3.30am... 2nd day in a row, combined with feeling lousey from the pneumonia jab....

We need to send out a Stafford Forum tech expert to show you where the buttons are. Do you know how to do a screenshot on your phone so we can see what you see?

You may have click the Quote button, which adds that post as a quote in the Quick Post box at the bottom. It gives you an easy way to reply to multiple posts, as you can just keep clicking Quote on different posts and it will keep adding them to your Quick Post box.

If you just want to reply to a single person, just click the Reply button at the bottom-right of their post.
