Welcome to Cornwall where the council provide pictorial examples of what can and cannot be recycled...

It's the simple things that help...

That reminds me, I've nearly got a third bagful of tetra-pak stuff to take to roots/tranquility. Amazing what we can turn to cash to help out local charities.

Out of interest, those with brown bin stickers, when was the last time your bin was emptied. Our seems likes months.....

Hmm, interesting. Our bin hasn't moved and the sticker is sticking out, but it's on a side lane. I shall see about putting it out the front next time it's allotted day comes around.

We've never stuck our sticker on as we are waiting for a new bin (it is cracked all the way down but still useable) , but it's still collected every other weekend...

Last collection, as it often gets put out by our neighbour

We don’t have a sticker.

We were in the same boat. Took around 3 weeks from raising it with the call centre to getting it (around a month ago). To be fair the chap delivering it said they could have given us one earlier however it would have been well used whereas the one were given was brand new....

Every recycling day. I saw the brown bin bloke walking down the road making notes of which ones he was emptying against the list of who had paid .

Hmmm its been about 2 months for us.... Maybe I should give them another ring. Although, I'm worried that like next door, they will replace it with a smaller bin?

Not the brown gardening bin , but.... When our green bin went missing a couple of minutes after it had been emptied , they swore blind it hadn't gone into the back of the lorry. Was told I could only have the tiny green thing they replaced it with for free . If I wanted a normal size one I'd have to pay £35 at the time. Wasn't going to pay that and risk the new one doing a disappearing act as well.

The council usually replace the green bin with a smaller capacity bin to try and get you to recycle more. I haven't seen a smaller brown bin at all but that doesn't mean they don't exist. 🙂

Did you get your bin in the end?
I was driving past Asda on Saturday at lunchtime as saw the chap who dropped our bin off driving a ban with a load of new bins in them. They must just deliver them on a Saturday...

Yes, our additional blue bag was delivered on a Saturday.
Maybe council tax payers are giving him time and a half !

Nope, but only cos I haven't done anything about it yet..... The bin has holes, but it still works......
