Does anyone know when the phone lines are actually open at the gatehouse? There's no mention of opening times anywhere on their website or Facebook. Got a question about an event that isn't answered anywhere!

I was in there a few hours ago, someone was messing with 'something', I got the impression he was doing IT related stuffs. May be related, may not!

Spoilt for choice on pre theater dining:

Coming to a Gatehouse show? We've teamed up with some of Stafford's top restaurants and bars to offer our customers pre-show menus and deals. 😀 Offers and terms vary (so pls check beforehand) but here's a list of beautiful places where you can get a little bit of extra love, just by having a ticket to one of our shows: 😍 The Post House, The Square, The Bank House, The Vine Hotel, Candid Beer, Embers Restaurant (in St Mary's Place) and The Treehouse in Mill Street. Enjoy! 🍸

"Sincere apologies to anyone who was expecting to see Ian Waite and Vincent Simone at the Gatehouse tonight. We have tried to contact all ticket holders, but the show has been rescheduled to October 13, 2022.

Enjoying a drop of red.
I've realised you must have been in about fifteen months after two women were taken to hospital after the ceiling collapsed inside Wetherspoons's Waterhouse. .

Nothing to do with me, I was just reporting where I was drinking!!
Looks like you had a narrow escape then @Thehooperman. Thank goodness you weren't in there 15 months earlier.

I am thinking of going to The Gatehouse next week. Scott Bennett is on and he's bloody hilarious.

Thread Resurrection.

So @Lucy have you got your tickets for the fabulous Scott Bennett for Fri 13th October at Stafford Gatehouse?

Scott Bennett has sold out now.

Just bought my tickets for Josh Pugh, another up and coming comedian.
Tickets selling well for this considering they only went on sale yesterday.

My volunteering at The Gatehouse has given me some fabulous nights this month.

The Calendar Girls went down a storm, and yes, they did get their kit off every night. A well deserved standing ovation for each performance.

Then on Thursday it was Queenz.
No, not a Queen tribute act but a 5 act Drag Queen Act and oh my goodness the audience loved them.
They were amazing, so professional, so upbeat, everyone on their feet, but giving out a hugely positive message about being proud of who you want to be etc.

Then last night, a Bee Gees tribute act. Sold out show, everyone loved it.
People had come from miles around and were so complimentary about our theatre.

There is so much coming up soon, I’ll keep you posted.

I am though, rather exited about seeing Marti Pellow from Wet Wet Wet in November, tickets still available…

Daughter-in-law and myself went to the Gatehouse to see The Makings of a Murderer, presented by David Swindle. He was part of the team that caught Peter Tobin.
We really enjoyed the evening. It's just nice to have time together and maybe learn something new.
Early February, we are booked to see the Psychologist Emma Kenny, again, then end of February we're booked to see The Real Manhunter, presented by Colin Sutton, the Police office who help catch Levi Belfield, the murderer of the young girl Millie Dowler.

I did think that looked extremely interesting but I couldn’t volunteer for that because we were away.

Last nights shift was Frankenstein in The Met, a thoroughly enjoyable performance by The Stafford Players.
Its on for a few nights more if anyone is interested.

Lots of our volunteering duties are music nights and tribute bands , which I absolutely love, but sometimes to see a well performed play, in a lovely venue, well it makes you appreciate what theatre is about, and how lucky we are to have this fabulous venue on our doorstep .

That's a shame, he was quite interesting to listen to.
Next year we have Emma Kenny, the Psychologist, booked the beginning of February, and at the end of that month, we will be seeing former DCI Colin Sutton in the Met, Presenting his show The Real Manhunter.

It’s Panto time everyone (oh yes it is!) and I was fortunate enough to go and see the dress rehearsal last night.

It’s opening night tonight for Beauty And The Beast so if you’ve got kids or grandchildren, (or even if you haven’t, because no one is too old for Panto) then why not treat yourself to a fun night out.

Tickets are selling really well for this, it’s a great show, full of laughs and a fabulous way to kick start Christmas.

A good idea to have it there, not the Castle, this time of year !

I did a double shift yesterday and another shift today for SNOW PLAY currently showing in The Met until Christmas Eve.

Its very interactive, the audience get involved, decorating a snowman, decorating a Christmas Tree and throwing snowballs. It all gets very messy on the stage.

Absolutely loved by the children and grown ups too.

Suitable for about 3 years plus to 100 years plus!
