My EFL season ticket works out at £5.22 a match.I was talking about Premier League or EFL football, not non-league.
Lucky you - that’s dirt cheap - a lot cheaper than I have ever paid for an EFL ticket. My point still stands about the cinema not being as expensive as a lot of other things. You can spend more on a couple of drinks if you wanted. My EFL season ticket works out at £5.22 a match.
I've got to ask who you support for that sort of money. My EFL season ticket works out at £5.22 a match.
This is something that has worked well for independent places elsewhere, being the novelty of a full on meal and a drink with your movie in some instances.Maybe that's what the other cinema could have done, like proper food.
Yeh but everyone knows the ending way before the interval at the RangersStafford Rangers only charge adults £10; £7 for concessions and kids are free or £1.
That's the thing about the old cinema, it was good when it was built, but it hasn't been fit for purpose for decades.I got to thinking about the 'Odeon' as I still call it. I believe when it was built before World War Two it was considered quite an advanced building, 'Art Deco' style. Then you think about the 'Picture House,' a classic frontage built before World War One. Then there's that part Roman style of frontage of the 'Sandonia,' built just after World War One I think as both cinema and theatre.
Pretty classy stuff for a West Midlands industrial town.
I've seen so many films in all three and nostalgia is fine, but, (and as Ned Stark famously said, all the words before the word 'but' can be disregarded,) you can't argue with George Harrison: 'All Things Must Pass.'
PS .. (clearly George was a student of the Second Law of Thermodynamics.)
LOL hope the French read this forum.I used to love going to the cinema and watching a variety of genres. In the last 10 years though there's been nothing that appeals to me other than the latest Bond or MI. We went to see the Bond movie at some mahoosive screen affair in France last week and it was excellent. I can only imagine how much better it would be in a proper language...
I stopped being interested in Premier league / efl 20 odd years ago. Fed up of being ripped off.I was talking about Premier League or EFL football, not non-league.

Yeah, but what was it advertising?Accrington Stanley ..... ( and der ferst one wot sez 'Who R they?' gets a gob full of fist whack. )
(I bloody hate TV adverts, but I can't deny, some just stick in your head for years and years.)
I was only joshing. I've managed to get to two Rangers games this season and enjoyed both despite Rangers losing.I stopped being interested in Premier league / efl 20 odd years ago. Fed up of being ripped off.
Thankfully things have changed this season (about time!). We've now get a decent team and win games, which has been a rarity in the last two seasons.
We are currently just hovering outside of the play offs.
I will be there today. I can't keep away from the place.
Who do you think will be your manager come Monday afternoon?I was only joshing. I've managed to get to two Rangers games this season and enjoyed both despite Rangers losing.
The way United are playing I might opt for watching Rangers for a while
