250,000th poster!
How come you drew the short straw?
It's my late Friday, it's, also my Saturday & Sunday...... Luckily the retail gods have had some sense this year, and while I get to get up at 4.30am on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday on Friday I get to start later, but close the store at 7pm, but then the store is closed on Christmas day and Boxing day (hooray) and Monday & Tuesday are my normal days off! Wooohoo....Im working all of new year though. (swings & roundabouts).

Pissed off with scammers trying their luck!!!

After rogue whattsapps and texts having to be continually blocked on hubby's phone ( linked to mine so scary as he's clicking merrily away ! ), Son's now warned me it looks like someone's trying to hack into his emails again, so to be suspicious of any strange ones coming supposedly from him.

(His mates in the past have been asked for money to be sent to an account, from supposedly another Facebook friend about to check out of a London Hotel but card declined so can they all send money urgently..... )

My parents weren't on the internet ,but lost Β£10,000 several years ago after phone calls to their landline supposedly from their bank saying account being targeted. Caller asked them to verify passwords and pins etc to make sure it was them . Then a ' copper' turns up at door saying they need to take card for evidence and to stop fraudulent transactions.
Their bloody account wiped out and I never found out about it until their deaths !

If unsure I ring companies from the number I've got for them to check it's them ,not the number/ link supplied and few times it's not been.

Heard something on TV tonight , which might come in useful if like me you didn't know about it.... If suspecting a scam , ring 159 to check if genuine or not. Even if you can't remember bank phone number , 159 will put you through to relevant bank number and say whether links etc are actually bona fida.

Just had a letter calling me in to Exeter Hospital in January for another nuclear scan. Much more of this and I'll probably grow another arm out of the side of my knee !!! I figured when I got to this age, I'd be the one doing the nuking. Another cunning plan down the crapper ... πŸ€ͺ

Feel done by ! Got son to buy me 3 bottles of Baileys last week ( only one going to be for me though) on last day of Tesco special Β£12 clubcard offer...
Now Tescos got them Β£9.50

Got a lorry load of 'special offer' Magners arriving ( hopefully) on Tuesday on my Tesco Delivery . Hoping they are in stock now , as I can't see those coming down any more......

Just chased the amazon van up the road as 2 items ordered, 1 box, and I could only see the one item in there. He came back with me to check , we tore the box to shreds and found the tiny SD card had slithered right inside the folds of the box

(He was a really nice bloke though. He was just happy that I was actually in , as he said most people weren't.)

At least I now know that I can still run when I have to ,even in flip-flops with a Sunday roast bouncing around in my stomach

That's got me deciding maybe my running days aren't over after all.
Won't be able to get to my racing days level again , but inspired me to get my running shoes back out for New Years Resolution...

Wasted most of the morning at the hospital for an appointment with my shoulder consultant.

Appointment was originally supposed to be a call but my physio wanted a new X-ray.

Saw my consultant an hour late because they hadn't changed my appointment to face to face.

When I asked about the X-ray I received a very rude and abrupt response saying physios don't request x-rays they make joints move. I was given a 10 minute explanation why having an X ray wouldn't show anything.

I said I knew that and was just relaying the message I had been given and why I was there.

Consultant was given short shrift from me ending with me saying the appointments with the fracture clinic were pointless and if they could discharge me but keep the physio going.

Result being that I am no longer a burden to the fracture clinic and will hopefully never darken their door again.

There is no point dealing with people like that - especially if they can't even be bothered to tell you not to waste your time by turning up.

Has anyone else harboured a lifelong fantasy of downing a tub of Elmlea like a milkshake or is that just me...?
I've got 5 tubs on tomorrows Tesco delivery order . :D A bit on the very occassional puds , a bit in porridge , and the rest gets swigged down by me . :D (Hoping they've got the usual long dates on now , or might have to blow this weeks strict diet ..... )
