Feel done by ! Got son to buy me 3 bottles of Baileys last week ( only one going to be for me though) on last day of Tesco special £12 clubcard offer...
Now Tescos got them £9.50

Got a lorry load of 'special offer' Magners arriving ( hopefully) on Tuesday on my Tesco Delivery . Hoping they are in stock now , as I can't see those coming down any more......
Is that for the litre bottle or 70cl?

It was a litre - 'Clubcard offer £9.50 . Normal price £20' on the screenshot son sent me . It said ends on 13th , and already now showing not on offer but £15 a Litre tonight.

The 70cl is now on offer £10 instead of £15....

2 days off. Whooptie fkn doodie. Love my job, but sometimes it gets a bit heavy.
Same, 2 days together is heaven..... Won't see 2 days together again till after Xmas.

Although the carer (lucky sod) , is now off till after Christmas..... Highlight is that I don't have to cook or do any jobs till he goes back to work.

Day off.

Got woken up early by minime who couldn't lock the front door that the carer has recently fixed & stopped sticking. Seems we can have a door that sticks, or a door that locks, but not both. *anyone recommend a good chippie?

Did some Christmas shopping.
Wrapped some presents.
Washed up.
Cut down the twisted willow tree in the front garden that we thought had died. It hadn't, probably will now!
Cut back some other plants while feeling murderous.
Fixed trellis in the back garden.
Did 3 loads of washing & drying and putting away.
Hoovered.
Made tea.
Realised I have a huge blister between my thumb and first finger when onion juice went into it & stung like hell.

OPENED THE GIN!

I have 2 days off next week, 1 is an annual leave day I need to take before I lose it. Don't think I have 2 together now till the middle of January, and that's only because I have a week booked off due to the youngests birthday.

Do the locks operate when it is open?

Yes 🤔 carer shaved a lot off the bottom, so door stopped sticking (when I say sticking, I mean stuck fast with a horrendous noise that will wake all the neighbours)... But then the lock (after about 2 weeks) would not lock from the outside.... It wouldn't open from the inside... To make it open the adjustments mean its sticking (noisily) at the bottom left corner again.

The sticking may be preventing the door being in the right position to lock - or the holes in the frame may be stopping the bolt(s) from going far enough for the lock to 'latch'. And the friction of the bolt(s) in the mismatched holes may be making it hard to operate the lock via the key - with added risk of breakage.

Wooden doors will 'move' at times.

Just had my Tesco delivery....can't believe the only thing not available on my massive order is my 'bargain' ciders (loads ordered in to last until after the new year as it was such a good price....seems everyone else noticed it too! ) Substituted with loads of the only other cider I can't drink , so had to wave that off on it's merry way back to the depot.

Looks like a trip to the Co-op later to make sure I get my supplies before the shelves are bare with panic cider buying....

School runs started this week. My daughter started a new job and so the grandparents are doing the school runs. My most alarming thing is the amount of parents who smoke at the school gates. I know people smoke, and are entitled to smoke, but to me I think it's wrong to smoke at the gates. Just a personal view nothing more.
