Mill Street Parking.

Am I correct in thinking that on street parking on Mill Street is unrestricted after 6pm? If so, does anyone know how likely it is to actually find a spot at dinner time on a Friday night?

Just checked and you are correct. It's £1 between 18.00 and 06.30.
Which obviously isn't a deal breaker if you're going to the cinema/theatre/restaurant but if you're like me, who never carries cash, is something you need to prepare for.

As for the original question about parking in Mill Street, then it can be very hit and miss as to spaces and there is often quite an unpleasant ambiance due to the patrons of the crap burger place.

There is a free section on Aldi (big) when the gates are closed. There are signs at the parent and child spaces.

I think Wilko car park is free after 18.00 as well.
Nope, Wilko (& Sainsburys) are £1.00 between 6pm & 8am, then £1.10 for, an hour, or £1.70 for 2 hours. Sunday is £1.00 all day & Christmas day is now the only free day.

Thanks to everyone who replied - we managed to find on street parking but it was tight and we were watched like hawks by several waiting cars!
