Yeah long covid really does not figure at all into discussions of the risk vs low death rate (which is 5-10x higher than often cited by internet plebs, anyway).

Haven't seen much mention of the data suggesting children are 20% more likely to be hospitalised with Omicron in all this talk of how much milder it is, either... here's hoping the school return doesn't go horribly wrong.

Just imagine for a second, Jeremy Corbyn trying to deny there was a party in the house he was living in, and it being 'impossible to find any evidence of it happening'.

Didn’t he get caught out having a party and lose his shizzle trying to find out who leaked the photo?

I've been asked to share (by a vounteer there) the fact that the Kingston Center has now moved to a walk in as opposed to needing an appointment if you need a job / booster

Yes

Numbers low today - It is a walk-in centre, at the moment 6 days a week for 16+, and then with a joint children's clinic on Saturdays, possibly extending to Sundays depending on numbers on Saturday . Kingston Centre

I was about to post that it seems the infection rate has peaked in this wave (though hospitalisations have doubled since last month and there were nearly 400 deaths announced today), then I remembered schools have just gone back and that won't be reflected in the figures for another week.

The ONS reports that we've surpassed 175k deaths at this point.

I was due to have my booster last Friday , but then caught covid instead. Should I still get my vaccine after I’m better ? Or is it kind of pointless at this point ? Surely I will have the antibodies from actual covid 🤔
