New Conservative Leader / Prime Minister.

The Tories have lost over 300 seats as I type.

I think today is literally the first day I have felt vaguely good about politics in this country for.... 5 years? More?!

Enjoy it whilst you can, though... that split vote between Labour and Lib Dems will be a killer when the next vote for PM comes around.

Seems if you want to have graffiti removed very very fast, ensure it is critical of the conservative party. Graffiti opposite Asda has been removed.

Man, James O'Brien's show was a tough listen today speaking to people in full time employment who can't afford to eat every day. There was a nurse who didn't eat breakfast, worked an entire shift without eating and then had to rely on a food bank. It's absolutely shocking...

Probably been on before, but it remains a magnificent assessment.

Tonight was the epitome of putting self interest above that of the people.
A bit like asking somebody "what has Brexit done for us?" I'd similarly ask "what has Boris done to convince you he cares about the public, before himself?"

So the fcuking useless, lying, gloating, bastard gets away with it again...
Only because other useless, lying, gloating bastards, including, I think we can assume, our "representative", voted not to replace him, in case they end up having to face an election earlier than they otherwise would.

Had Boris gone then most conservative voters would probably have felt satiated enough to vote for them again at the next election. Better to have him in place if we have any chance of getting the Tories out in the foreseeable future.
It is the best result - it gives him more time to demonstrate the bizarre level of immoral, uncaring corruption that the Conservative Party actually represents.

We couldn’t have asked for a better result IMO

He now looks weak, there will be more dissent in the ranks, but the Tories can’t wipe the slate clean and say “we’re not like the last guy” (despite still using “the last Labour government” for 12 years)

I think the best result would have been Boris ousted and replaced by Theo's uncle.
