Just downloaded the what3words app , so that if I get hopelessly lost I might be found...... might try it out in the woods tomorrow...if you don't hear from me again it hasn't worked (or son is so p1ssed off with me getting lost that he's ignored me sharing my location  ). Hubbys phone is never on ,and he wouldn't even notice I was missing!

Given up on joining 'what3words'.
Thought I'd done it earlier, then hours later get an email to verify I'm not a robot. 10 screens later & it's still asking me to select squares with cars, planes etc.
If I end up upside down in a field whilst taking son & mates to the airport in the early hours, I'll just have to hope I'm found without the help of what3words !
Back to old fashioned driving without stupid non-working modern technology!

Weird day today. Spawn3 is moving to her schools new hub at Aldersley in September. So although there will still be a bit of back and forth technically she leaves the 'home' school today. She's been there 10 years so it's a bit of a wrench for me.
Also means with moving school she needs new clothes and I'll have to go..... clothes shopping. I can't tell you how much I hate clothes shopping. Because it's all new and unusual school are paying for her new school clothes, I'm really glad about that as the new uniform would have been bloody expensive.
However I found out last Thursday they are putting her in 6th form a year early and she needs 'business attire'. I don't know exactly what that means, I've never worn it, don't know anyone who does so I've had to go on a Google session. Then the whole where do I get it all from. Sadly my port of call would have been Debenhams or Dotty P's but they aren't an option now as I'm getting vouchers for a physical shop. I've looked at Next online, not impressed, Same with M&S. Asda is meh so is Sainsbury's. In desperation I looked at the New Look website. Spawn3 loves their options so I guess we will be heading there. Whatever it is it'll have to be washable. By the times she's dropped food on it, got glue or paint on it. Or the other weird stains that appear on her current uniform. I'm certainly not forking out for dry cleaning every week.

Thanks @littleme :) I've joined the Nextdoor forum around here to see what's going on. . Keep looking to see if someone's asking " Can anyone hear screaming?" 😂
Not got used to this countryside life yet. Was thinking to myself earlier that I'm getting very brave gardening by the fence next to the woods....... Jumped out of my skin tonight when the slightly open conservatory door swung in the wind making a sound like an elephant

' You're probably the only one that these things happen to.... Apart from me!' One of the staff in our local Co-op said that as well. She tells everyone about the time I got stuck to the freezer doors in there :embarrass::lol:
"Can anyone hear screaming?" sadly brings to mind the horrific murder in Worcester of three children 49 years ago.
Their mother was a barmaid in the Punch Bowl which is a pub that I know.

Gypsies appeared at my work tonight, about 6 teenage lads.... No idea where they're stopping.

It'll be a fun weekend at work.

Walked miles exploring a different route to a different pub......Got there...No draughts at all because of electrical fault, not even bottled as all gone except for 'alcohol free' versions
Started the lo ng walk back the road way instead of woods this time, and luckily son rang just after we started. Picked us up & took us to a better pub but a bit out of the way. Treated him to a meal before he shot off.

Enjoying a few drinks on our own now until he picks us back up later . Got our own private taxi around here :D

In return though I'm giving him & his mates a lift to the airport & back this next week , working out good being so close now .:)

Hadn't heard of any settling. Probs get a call from the council tomorrow.
To be fair they were not really any trouble, gave a couple of the staff some gobby attitude about 'lookin at them, and discriminating'... Although I got a 'are you looking at me darlin' which was hysterical being as they're about 12years old! Another collegue said they were in yesterday evening too, but caused no trouble apart from being gobby.

They left sainsburys & headed into town...

I am no longer a biker. I certainly don't ride anymore and now, for the first time since the Cuban Missile Crisis I no longer own a motorcycle. A lad who restores bikes came around today and bought my beloved Suzuki GSXR1100L, two Yamaha Viragos and a Suzuki DR350cc trial bike as a job lot. I knew full well this had to come, and the garage really needed clearing out, but seeing that Suzuki GSXR1100 go (bought new in 1990) definitely bought a lump to my throat. It wasn't a bike .... it was a f****** starship !!
Well I'm a bit richer by four figures and I've got my garage back, but I'll miss the thrill. (Been missing since before the lockdown, ) .... but at least I've got my electric pedal bike !!!

Well done Bob, I remember when my dad sold his bikes... He was heartbroken, but he knew he couldn't/wouldn't use them any more (bowel cancer & being 70+).....he still has numerous dangerous hobbies though, even in his 80's

Bob,
A bicycle was my main means of transport through the 1970s and '80s and I remember what it was like getting rid of it after I suffered a stroke thirteen years ago, though I'm sure it meant less to me that your motorised versions have to you.
