It's been obvious for a long time that I'm trying to communicate with people who only believe what they have dictated to them, rather than thinking outside the box. Many who who won't politically believe what they are told by those in charge but when it comes to the biggest event in modern times they've taken everything they've been fed as gospel.
If you'don;t understand that those narratives don't align I really do despair for you, considering all the names and abuse that's come my way!
Those measurement guides were made up and not needed, so loads of businesses could not open due to viability issues.
They even limited attendance at outside sports events! You bought into all of that too!
If you have to question me about us being manipulated I guess you're happy to jump off a cliff if those in charge tell you to! Jesus H!!!!
Yep, 'they' said wear mask and we did, 'they' asked us to distance and we did. So please explain to my feeble mind why we were asked to do these things? What was 'their' end game? What did 'they' gain?
The same 6 or so little voices trying to batter one voice into submission. Almost like you work for a drug company! Go on! Tell us we all have to get the next jab and if not, we are a danger to everyone!

Are you referring to the vaccine that has always been optional?

Control!

The funniest thing in my mind is that masks destroy facial recognition systems, its more likely that 'they' were the ones pushing the anti mask agenda

This whole idea of us "believing everything the government told us" is also so bizarre because how many people who still wear masks and support vaccination think that the government's response was adequate?

The fact is that those of us who still wear masks are actively going *against* what the government have wanted us to be doing for the last 6 months (and the same for much of last year) so how people like GG square that with the idea that we're unquestionably following what we're told to do by them is beyond me.

Same old @gilbert grape not answering any reasonable question anyone asks but happy to accuse others of being manipulated and being dictated to.

There are two or more sides to a debate but you need to have at least a semblance of reality and truth to the argument you may want to present. I'm not seeing this despite people asking genuine questions and challenging views.

And more to the point I'm not trying to batter anyone into submission, it's not a battle.

I'm asking for your views on what you post but you won't answer any questions whatsoever.

Anybody who reads what I've read without an auto perception of what they think it should mean, will struggle to get it, as has happened many times. Plain English totally misunderstood due to people thinking what I should have said!
If I am asking "why is that person wearing a mask, in a car, on their own?" some of you are already thinking of a reason to justify the action, to discredit me, rather than accepting a simple question!

Honestly @gilbert grape I have read your comments with an open mind and still struggle to understand why you don't answer the questions that people ask?

Surely the idea of a discussion/debate is that one person airs a view, another questions/challenges, the first person answers it and a common understanding is decided.

If you spoke in plain English with your own views and just some not regurgitated American rhetoric then perhaps people would engage with you better, understanding that you may have some valid different view.

You can't blame us if the questions you ask simply have an answer.

Coincidentally I had the conversation about people wearing a mask alone in a car with my dad the other day. My guess would be they're either between delivery/collection jobs (in which case constantly removing it would make it less effective) or they're on their way to pick up a vulnerable person (in which case being unmasked in the car on the way risks contaminating the air before you put it on).

With hubby still ill with Covid , I tested again today just incase before going out shopping...... I've got it now , strong line showing positive !

I was really ill for a fortnight when I got it last year , after 2 Pfizers but before the booster.

This time I'm feeling absolutely fine so far... infact the best I've felt for ages! If I hadn't have done the test " just incase" with hubby having it, I wouldn't have known.

Hope it doesn't hit either of you too hard @staffordjas and hope you both recover soon.

I'm still suffering a bit with fatigue after covid. Used to be a proper night owl staying up until 2-3am, I've been in bed by 8:30 numerous times this month already and just can't keep my eyes open.

... and I'm sure it's at least partially not just because I'm nearly 40. 😅

I'm still well before prior levels of stamina*, and I have real slumps every 10-15 days. I had plans for tomorrow, but it doesn't look safe to attempt it now.

This is after a bout at Christmas, although there may have been a supplementary stage in March.

Things are still improving slowly, but the asymptote looks to be well below the original line.

* I can compare identical tasks between this and last year - the wood-stacking, for example, was done in one day last year, I spread it over three this year.

Thanks @Thehooperman . Hubby was so ill for the last half of our holiday that he was in bed most of the time. Relief to find it was actually Covid when we tested back home though ,and not to do with his heart condition .He's not knowingly had it before, even when I had it quite bad last year he kept testing negative..
So far , this time around, I'm still feeling pretty good ...... :)

Symptomatic since yesterday, I assumed it was a cold but I woke up with a raging headache and tested positive this morning 🤢🤒🤧😷

So far the kids and hubby are ok. We went to the England lionesses game at the Stoke ground last week, I’m assuming that’s where I got it.
