Living in the past is preferable when the present is so unpalatable.

But remember, Boomers, this is the future you voted for.

Reminds me of this bench I we spotted during our Blair Witch type walk...

Had to do a food shop this morning due to being in Norfolk for a week and having no fresh food in the house.

Both Aldi and Asda were absolutely rammed with idiots panic buying because it's a bank holiday tomorrow.

Anyone know why there was a two minute silence at 20.00 tonight?

Not trying to be disrespectful but I'm not following or even in the slightest bit interested in the formal procedure but just seemed strange why there was a silence.

Is it to do with missing Battle of Britain day this year?

Came to the Bird for a drink this afternoon and the pub was deadly quiet with people watching the funeral so we sat outside.

It's now 17.00 and they've put the usual pub music on and I've just heard a guy complaining about how disrespectful the pub is playing "play that funky music white boy" when the queen's just been lowered into the ground????

I am just like @Thehooperman , not interested in the whole thing at all, but........I watched a little this morning as I was up early, when the Queen was taken into the Abbey....then I turned over to food network.

The carer had a lie-in, got up and made us coffee, & said 'let's see how the queen's getting on'.....it was just coming to the end of the first service.... and we watched the lot from them on, it was very interesting & moving....the carer said that it's something we won't see again in our lifetime, but I think we might. King Charles III is already 73, so our generation may be the only generation to see 2 royal monarchs funerals.

Edward VII only did nine years.

Not many letter boxes with his monogram on, this one was still in use up to few years ago, when victory was conceded to the blue tits.
