Has anyone had the Moderna ? That's the booster our local vaccination centre seems to be giving out. So far I've always had Pfizer.

Had a text from GP saying I'm eligible to get flu & covid jabs whacked in at the same time , but only want the flu one at the moment with only just got over covid... :hmm:

My mom has now had AS, AZ, PF & MOD. No reaction to any of them so far. Also no covid so far

Dominos……..

The kids have tested positive now.

Am I supposed to send them to school? I wasn’t planning on it but the online guidance is vague. Will the schools be wanting them to go in 🤷🏻‍♀️
Government guidance is now meh, whatevs, we've milked it for all we can and the next cash cow is energy so do what you want.

Both schools have said I have to send them if they’re not unwell. It’s seems bonkers.

Personally I’m struggling with the virus as I did last time, it’s equivalent to a full on flu rather than a cold. I’d hate to be responsible for my kids passing that on but both schools were very insistent. They can’t even put covid down as a reason for absence so it’s gone in as generally feeling unwell today and they want them in school tomorrow if they’re feeling well enough 🤦🏻‍♀️🙄

I really wouldn't be sending kids to school whilst they are testing positive, regardless of government guidelines.
As long as your boss understands thats fine, but some would insist you came in regardless even though it may mean taking out half the workforce.

Say they have explosive diarrhea, describe it in detail, they'll never ask again :xd:

I actually did this to a boss once, she asked me in front of the rest of my team why I was off. I said I was ill, she said she needed more details so I described how my bowels were pumping out what smelt like stagnant pond water an otter had died in. She STFU pretty quickly and never questioned my illnesses again.

To Biden

To hazard a guess based on not much information at all really but it might be almost right but only as much as it might be not be

To Trump

To fart loudly and openly with disregard for others . But no mention of Otters

Well , just queued over 2 hours for my flu jab .. Couldn't understand why it took the queue so long to go down as , once inside the room with 5 jabbing stations , I was in and out in a few minutes.

Thought I was just having the flu jab. After giving details at first desk , me and the woman I'd got chatting to for the 2 hours sat down together. Nurse comes and grabs us both together and drags us to her station. Woman points out she is actually with her husband at the other jabbing station, so she is sent off there.
Next thing she pulls my blouse down off my shoulder, whilst babbling away saying she thought we were together , and whacks a needle in ..."That's the covid in your left arm, now I'll put the flu in your right arm "

So I've unintentionally had both the Moderna and flu jab this morning!

Just dropped hubby off there for his flu jab ......

Personally, I'd tell the school(s) to sod off.
I'm just the right side of 60, only real health issue is i'm well overweight. I got the Covid and thought I was dying. I can't believe the powers that be at school are willing to take a chance on it spreading to others. Vulnerable Nans and Grandads etc.
My youngest sister is now on an inhaler due to catching the thing.

I've mentioned my fatigue after getting covid but today has been particularly bad, I had to just lie down and shut my eyes for an hour at around midday. Ended up going the cinema as I've got too much brain fog to work.

And that's my answer for anyone who might ask why I still wear a mask and why I'll get vaccinated again: I had it, it sucks, I don't want it again and I wouldn't want to give it to anyone else.

You'd think there was a perfectly logical line of reason between that experience and continuing to take precautions but no, apparently I'm just following what the MSM is telling me to do.

A friend visited this weekend I've not seen since New Year, he had it 3 months ago and still gets tired just doing basic stuff.
I struggle to get up and downstairs, feels like I need an oxygen tank.
I've just walked over to Sainsburys, done a slow walk round the place and then back home again. Luckily youngest was on hand to help me carry stuff. I'm shattered.

GP surgeries around here are sending everyone to walk-in clinics for jabs instead of doing any in surgeries.

Massive take up for flu and Moderna covid booster jabs on the first day (and only day this week ) at the walk-in vaccination centre I went to today.Apparently ended up having 100 queing before the doors opened at 8.45am . I queued just over 2 hours when I got there about 9am, but later 3 hour queues. Then they ran out of covid vaccine in the afternoon.

They weren't even checking if people were eligible . I had my GP text ready to show and hubby got his ready later , but never even asked either of us to see anything and no-one around us were being asked either.

Nothing like all the checks they were making in the Stafford vaccination centres for our first 3 Pfizers / AstraZenaca.

Do you know if it was the 'original' Moderna vaccine or the new Moderna bivalent vaccine?

No idea. She just said Moderna when I asked. Wasn't given anything like my previous cards or info giving make & batch numbers etc.
(No sitting for a while after like in showground & Kingston Centre either , just shown the exit door)

Might find out if it eventually appears on my NHS App ( which isn't working properly since first GP surgery I signed up to messed all records up...) or Patient Access which nr 2nd surgery joined got fixed.....
