So how would the LA raise monies not gained from parking?

In 2016 each bay was worth £878 pa

By having a more thriving town centre with less vacant shops? When shops close the council loses income and they feel the temptation to increase the costs on the remaining businesses which just accelerates the demise of them too.

Oh and I noticed today at Wildwood Coop they now have InPost lockers for sending and receiving parcels. Handy if you work 9-5 and also do some ebay selling or need to ship something and don't want to go to the Post Office.

Yeah but that's a long drive from Wildwood area. The Co-op monopoly on the South East of Stafford is a barrier to getting anything decent in terms of shopping and services, so I welcome even the slightest improvement.
I don't understand your dislike of the coop?

They're expensive and seem to be a bit gimmicky with what they stock (big flower section and £8 soft toys?!) . Their freezer section is half empty now. They used to stock a lot more frozen veggie pizzas but now only seem to stock meaty ones or really cheap ones. Their own chilled pizzas are over £4 now and nothing special, you can get two for the same money in ASDA. Yeah, I probably eat too much pizza.

Oh and they don't do a stir fry sauce I like. Not a fan of star anise/five spice (I don't really like cinnamon either) and their sauces are full of it.

Basically. their offering is on-par if a little lower than ALDI but about 25-33% more expensive.

We seem to have a kitchen showroom on the corner of Gaolgate Street and Hunter's Row/Mount Row/Gaolgate Place.

Where the Salvation Army shop was.
Salvation Army, that's going back awhile, we've had Shuropody there before Kutchenhaus. 😉

I only really have two over there and I've only been in two in Stafford Borough this year, but should go up to three tomorrow night.

I keep meaning to walk my dogs down to Bod I can't get one of them to walk down the road. The other one is very brave but I don't really want to subject her to fireworks if I can help it, she's heard them on a walk already and been very good about it. I guess I could go solo.

Whoops - I forgot that one - so, I've been in three in the Borough - and it'll be four tomorrow...

Well it's not really a pub. A sort of bar/cafe thing. I have thought of calling in when I've been walking past with the dog. Especially as they had one of the Beavertown beers on tap the other week.
