It's not ready yet, but as we both have a day off.....roast chicken, roast potatoes, carrot & sweede mash, cauliflower cheese, and 5he carer hasmade his special sausage meat stuffing (some for tonight, some in the freezer for another day), and onion gravy.
No doubt minime will cover everything in mint sauce, and I'll smother mine with mulled cranberry sauce.

Do Sainsburys even sell this anymore? Had a really good nose other morning, I was half asleep, but still couldn't find any.

Nope, I batch oven bake carrot & sweede in butter for tea, but make loads so I have enough to freeze for another meal.
Also I can't stand how they make it in supermarkets, way to mushy and they always add nutmeg or cinnamon, which i dont like (in mash or red cabbage).

The carer is making *leftover chicken and stuffing sandwiches for tomorrow's lunch.....only surpassed by boxing day sandwiches when we are all usually at work.....this year, his change of job, mine and minimes schedule mean we will all be off for Xmas day, boxing day, and the day after! A Christmas **miracle.

I'm off the 23rd & 24th December, then working Christmas Day and Boxing day nights. We're having our Christmas meal on the 24th. Best bit is, I have the 30th,31st and 1st off. So home, again, for my birthday.

Fantastic news, I usually work the week up to Christmas, have 1 day off, then back for another week, so this is really good few days for us, and for all 3 to be off together is great

Yes! Apparently they do, this one is kept by the salad stuff as you walk in......Next delivery is today.
This one is by lasagne/cottage pie etc in the fridges by the meat..
I think they also sell Aunt Bessie's frozen carrot & swede mash in the freezers too....

Hmmmm maybe it's seasonal, I'll have a look next time I'm in as I'm sure I've seen it, but the stock app says not ranged.

We're having that tomorrow night, except no chips or tomatoes and a few slices of Black Pud.It's one of those using things up weeks... sausage, egg & chips, along with bacon & grilled tomatoes that needed using, beans, mushrooms, and bread n butter.
Stuffed.

That's what was missing for me, black pud...I love it, but no-one else I'm the house does...

I found a big bag of sliced Black Pud in Farm Foods, works out better for me financially. If I get the long Gills pud from Asda most has been eaten before I can think about using it. He can't be arsed to get it out the freezer and let it thaw, so we still have an unopened bag. And the pack Sainsburys sell, doesn't have enough slices(4) for the two of us.

Well, it was meant be the above ↑ but someone has bogged off to Cannock to get pissed, I'm picking him up later.
