The carer was supposed to make a slow cooked shepherd's pie, but forgot to take the lamb out of the freezer last night...

So instead he's making this....with frozen roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese, and tenderstem....

Well, it was meant be the above ↑ but someone has bogged off to Cannock to get pissed, I'm picking him up later. I'll make him use one of his expensive t-shirts clean the car if he's sick in it!
So, tonight Matthew, I'll be having sumat on toast.

I reckon if I lived alone, I wouldn't eat half as good as I do now.
Bit long winded this one, you might want get a mug of tea, or coffee if you prefer that sort of stuff.

Right,
Changed my mind, thought stuff the toast, I'll have KFC. Now I really don't care what anyone thinks, I bloody love a Zinger stacker burger, haven't had one for a while, so decided as he's getting bladdered in 'the nok', Mummy would have whatever she fancied for tea, so KFC it was.
Sat me bum down in front of the pc at 4, got the uber eats page up and ordered my tea. They're normally on it in seconds, you see the bowl and utensils whirring away on the screen. Estimated delivery at 16.30, woo hoo thought me, can't wait.
Took a good 15 minutes for someone say they'll pick it up, perhaps it was the 10% tip I gave, tough, I work for the NHS, I don't have money throw around. Anyhows, 16.30 came and went, I watched the little car going across me screen, finally arriving at The Hough, by this time, estimated arrival was at 17.00. Busy period, everyone wants sumat for tea.
The Uber eats driver went pigging everywhere but here. I've sat and watched him go up Baswich, then up to McDonalds by Lloyds roundabout, he then went as far as Blackheath Lane and Wildwood. I tried ringing KFC see if maybe the thing was wrong, and he hadn't picked it up. The friendly voice on the other end of the phone said she knew it had gone, she handed the bag to the driver herself. Yes, I tried ringing him, 3 times, each time it said call rejected or whatever it says.
He finally rocked up here at 18.00hrs, now I admit, I'm a gobshite online, face 2 face i'm the biggest coward going. I never said a word apart from thanks to him.
Left a bit of a shitty doodah on the KFC thing, said me food were cold, I had bung it in the microwave for a couple of minutes.

Youngest took the App off his phone because places kept getting the order wrong or like today, took too long.
Think I'll be doing the same............

Awww that's terrible....we've not ordered KFC for months because of this, food was stone cold when it turned up and my beloved pots of sticky chicken tasted like dried powder granuals, not lovely sticky chicken.

...Next time walk up to Essence and get salt & pepper chicken & chips! Or try Pepes near me, the food is lovely!

They do a bbq sizzler, might be similar...

EoO is closed on a Tuesday, or I would have.

Steak, buttered baby taters, mushrooms and onions in olive oil and butter.
Brie with salt and pepper crackers.
In Harvey's bookshop, on Market Street, right at the back of the shop, was the cookery section. There was a large coffee table book prominent there, visible as you entered the shop, Cooking For Babies.

In order to increase the 'shelf shout', the cover designer had enlarged the two important words, at the expense of the much less relevant 'for', which was so tiny, that it could not be seen from any distance, beyond a few feet- thus, the book appeared to be on the subject of cooking babies...

Stupidly, not realising just how cold I'd feel by tea time, I'd dec8ied on chicken cesar salad. Lovely, but I'm still cold. I even let the carerhave the heating on for 1/2hr.

Yesterday I excelled for a change , and did a lovely beef stew for tea.

Today I've just had a bacon roll for dinner (after popping in to see son earlier and his looked so nice , I just had to make myself one when I got home.....mine wasn't so appetising as his looked ! Accepting his offer of his 2nd one would have been tastier , but couldn't deprive him of it before his long shift. Next time I might 😂) .

Not in the mood for cooking tea now . Might just have beans on toast.

I bloomin' love beans on toast. I just know, if the youngest was to ever move out, that's probably all I'd live on. I only really do the meals I do now for him. He calls me a feeder, I say it's cos I'm his mum and want to know that he's eating well.

Got to be my favourite meal!
I was brought up on beans on toast , as that's all my parents could afford. Then when we got married , we didn't have a fridge for a few years, as well as not having much money (with banging it all on the mortgage then the interest rates suddenly shooting up from 13.5% to 15% ).
When hubbys family came to look at the house before the wedding, they were highly amused with the cupboards just being full of baked beans and loo rolls. (Still like that now 😂.)

Beans on toast it is ! :)

Edit...... followed by chips, sticky bbq chicken grill & peas because hubby fancies that (he's in charge of that) ........ I'm being greedy and having both :D
