Wasn't there a stall in the market selling vintage/sought after/ restored sneakers, a lot if them are collectors items fir many people...I'm sure there was, but it may have been before covid....yes, it is a thing.....even in Stafford.

Looks like Stafford is getting another Mini Market.

Foregate Mini Market in the former Shorties Barbers (between Caprinos and Screwfix).
I’m sure this is terribly interesting

But could one provide correct directions

Avoiding commercial interests

The above is simply mumbo jumbo

Straight across from you, as you sit waiting at the Browning Street lights, to turn onto Foregate Street - the shop with the perforated shutters, where you have to position yourself carefully, to see the reflection of the green man in the windows, to get a two second warning of when the lights will finally change.

I wonder how some of the mini markets keep trading. It is almost as if they have another stream of income outside a smallish display of groceries etc.

Are you implying money laundering or drug dealing? I can’t see your eyes twitching because of the Lucazade I’ve been inhaling

I understand that the £14 million town centre grant is now worth £11.2 million thanks to inflation and the cost of replacing the rubber bands on the £20 notes stored in the Riverside Centre basement

Because what Stafford really needs is yet another vape shop. Can't he not show some imagination and maybe open a shop selling cheap Chinese tat for mobile phones? We're running short of those...

My thought as soon as he said it . Was wondering if he'd done his research into how many other similar shops there are in the area , and how long it would be before he's possibly appearing in the 'Stafford shops closing' thread with a bit more competition than he seems to be expecting.
As it's all in the going ahead process , I didn't like to spoil his enthusiam so kept my mouth shut....

Seeing as they have a lot to do with the sports scene , I was expecting him to say it was going to be a sportswear outlet or something at first....the thoughts of a nice sporty type department store complex in the old Co-op building sprung to mind, but not to be! 😂
