No mate. They could take on the Coach and Horses and raise the tone. And 'Proactive' would have them out on the street !
I think I may be missing something here, by dodging the place, but what exactly what is good about the Coach? We know that it's not as good as the Coach and Horses but demolition of the Waggon and Horses would prevent it ever becoming a really good pub.
Tbf it's not been that great since run by Till Snr, although was alright when Pat had it in the early 90s.I think I may be missing something here, by dodging the place, but what exactly what is good about the Coach?
Asking for a friend.
It's a proper pub with diverse customers and often a decent pint - but nothing like as good as when Ray Till kept it from 1974 to 1989.I think I may be missing something here, by dodging the place, but what exactly what is good about the Coach?

Partly. But mainly it's utter shite with people kicking the crap out of each other. It may be a pub with character but it's hardly warm and welcoming.is diverse customers modern parlance for "characters", don't mind Jack, he is only having a laugh.
Probably. The Pasturefields one closed long ago.Are we talking about the same Coach?
Not Jack Taylor ? !is diverse customers modern parlance for "characters", don't mind Jack, he is only having a laugh.
The Star wars bar was full of diverse customers most of whom were freaks so I can see what you mean. It's a proper pub with diverse customers and often a decent pint - but nothing like as good as when Ray Till kept it from 1974 to 1989.
PS is "diverse" the PC word for dickhead customers? The Star wars bar was full of diverse customers most of whom were freaks so I can see what you mean.
I'm still not seeing what makes it a good pub though.
Or the Waggon ?The Coach is having the roof done based on what I’ve seen as I’ve driven past. Bar still looks open though.
I’ve only been in there twice, it felt a bit like a locals local (not necessarily a bad thing), the beer was cheap and fine though.
It wasn't me who asked "What's happening to the Wildwood pub, all signage stripped, fences around it ?" !Just realised, yet another thread taken over by ruddy pub talk. Can't we at least keep it in the Pubs & Eating out bit please?
Did I blame you? No.It wasn't me who asked "What's happening to the Wildwood pub, all signage stripped, fences around it ?" !
Indeed.Did I blame you? No.
