Plonk gammon joint in slowcooker, add heaped tablespoon of dark brown sugar on top, no water, the sugar melts and mixes with the gamon juice & makes a lovely sticky glaze for it. (I leave the lid ajar near to the end of cooking to allow glaze the thicken)
Blinkin' 'eck, that sounds good. Gammon juice rocks. I sometimes grill gammon steaks and put croquet potatoes underneath so the juice goes over them then once the gammon's out whack the grill up for a couple of minutes to crisp them up.

Feeling too lazy to cook , fancied a chippy tea but neither of us fancied driving out in the pouring rain to get it.

So oven fish , chips and can of mushy peas it is.
