Stafford shops opening - Turning into a boom town?

It's only a minor improvement over the other location. Being in the town centre suits some people I guess. If you have a poorly cat and no car you can at least put it in a carry cage thing and walk there.
So the fact there's no guaranteed parking for their customers (rather than the can I/can't I of the current location only makes it a minor improvement. Its a town centre vet so how else would you make it a major improvement ??

It depends if you can use all of the spaces in that car park or just the four outside. It's a larger unit for sure, the old one was very pokey. So slight improvement. Plus not having to loop around the island to get into the middle. The car parking situation in the island is terrible and was one reason I started going to Park House (they're also cheaper).

Of course you can use all that parking spaces on the retail park (that the practise is being listed as being part of)...

It’s still a bit of a gamble as to whether the car park management company think it’s part of the retail park though.

Interesting, the new building on main site was meant to be for mechanics (amongst others). That place is sales, not aftercare?
Didn't the college used to make use of a few rooms at the chetwynd centre , maybe it'll be a few general education courses. Like a levels or adult GCSEs .

Think notice has gone up to demolish and replace the college buildings near the old gec too. They're certainly investing heavily in Stafford.

If they were after more space , it's a wonder they didn't take on the old Wolverhampton Uni town centre campus.

I did wonder, but it says replacing the roller door with a bigger one and that makes no sense for gen-ed.

After months of interior work being done, there is a new emporium opening in the old William Hill shop near The Butler's Bell. It's called "Munch & Slurp" and supposedly offers a range of high quality slap-up meals & drinks, examples of which are shown in the window. The workers were erecting the sign as I slurped my pint opposite.

Looked at that today. Like Subway but without the class. With the usual vomit-inducing generic photos of the 'food' on offer.

Just what Stafford needs.
