Just got back from Bridgnorth with friends. Couple of pints in The Shakespeare followed by a long lunch in The Fat Olive tapas bar.

I had a lovely day in Bridgnorth four years ago taking two American brothers round some of the pubs.
We got in the Bell and Talbot, Black Boy, George, Golden Lion, Kings Head, Old Castle, Railwayman's Arms, Shakespeare and White Lion.

Presumably you spent the following 24 hours taking a piss every 20 minutes.
It was too busy a week for many pisses with having taken them round the pubs of Huddersfield, Manchester, Preston and Stockport during the preceding days.

Remember many years ago having a quiet pint one evening when suddenly mild started cascading out of the light fittings. With a mighty oath the landlord raced upstairs, later reappearing and explaining that a member of staff had disconnected the wrong cask in the upstairs bar. The evening carried on, he seemed unconcerned about the contact of liquid with the pub's electrics. Some of the railway memorabilia in the Railwaymans Arms may be stuff I gave them.

I’m actually really curious /interested @Mudgie as to how you remember exactly where you were at a given point in history and how many drinks you had.

Do you keep notebook or record of where you have been and what you drank on any given day or do you have a remarkable encyclopaedic memory?

He can remember everything he did many years ago but can’t remember why he just went upstairs. 😁😁😉

I must admit that my memory is assisted by having kept a diary.
Now what did I come upstairs for ?

I now have a bus pass so next time it'll be the train to Wolverhampton and then bus to Bridgnorth.
Why not get the bus to Wolverhampton. There’s a couple a week, goes through Church Eaton, Wheaton Aston, Brewood etc, Only takes a couple of hours. 🙄

It's actually a couple a day and only an hour.
I occasionally use them, and sometimes the only passenger, for a lunchtime in Brewood but my bladder would prefer the train from Wolverhampton after several Bridgnorth pubs.

I shall have a look out for you passing my window...

It's Brewood for me on Tuesday lunchtime all being well.
Let me know which window and I'll give you a wave, and I might even manage a smile for the New Year.
The one you'll be starring in whilst down Church Eaton high street. The amount of people that wave at me thinking I'm looking at them, when I'm actually looking at my laptop screen.

We lived in this house in Bourton on the Water in the mid-60s. People often took photos of the interior through the window, frequently when I was having my tea at the table inside the window, after getting in from school.

if you think it’s only an hour to Wolverhampton you might miss the Bridgnorth train ( when you do that trip)
P. S I’m fairly sure I know which window & @Lucy never waves to me when I pass 😁😁)
I’ve just re-read this. It’s not meant as creepy as it sounds 😁
