Had to grab hubby's car keys to go to my aquafit class tonight as mine had disappeared . Came back and continued turning the house upside down ...no keys. Fetched the recycling bin back down to make sure they weren't in there before it was emptied in the morning.... tipped the whole lot out onto the floor outside and put back piece by piece by torch light....no keys.
Put bin back up & came back in thinking well at least they must be somewhere in the house . Locked the back door, went to put the keys on their hook.......what was hanging there .... my car keys ! In the wrong place , but actually hanging up for a change.😂

Red Lion?
Indeed, three pints of Banks's there then one in the Albion and a Bass in the Crown.
I had intended going to Brewood but it was a Saturday timetable which might have got me there just after I needed to leave for home. So at Gaol Square I noticed a Lichfield bus in forty minutes which meant a Pedigree in Hogarths for £2.10 with a voucher.
My bus pass has got me to seventeen pints in Rugeley this year.

Just spent a happy 45 mins under the car reattaching a section of undertray which was pulled loose negotiating a minor flood yesterday afternoon.

I never knew cars had undertrays.
Wonderful what one can learn from this forum.

Think I got off lightly judging by the number of number plates, odd pieces of black plastic and even on one occasion a whole plastic bumper assembly at various 'flood' black spots recently.

Lake Sandon has subsided and was navigable with care half an hour ago.

Good deed of the year done ....... noticed a blind lady and her labrador guide dog going around in circles in the carpark on the outskirts of town. Their usual route across the pedestian canal bridge was closed off, and the dog couldn't finds it's way out of carpark and into town. (She'd walked there to buy sausages for 'Hope'the dog). Walked along with them pointing out kerbs etc , whilst Hope was instructed to follow me but looking rather worried not fullfilling her job. (Or maybe she'd read the forum and knew of my navigational skills 😂) As soon as we got to a place the dog recognised it immediately kicked back into guiding action again. Amazing how the dog then took control over the pedestrian crossing and they went off on their merry way. :)

Rather worrying that the lady said she had normal eyesight until 5 years ago when she woke up completely blind. Apparently caused by lack of blood to the eyes . Said her one consolation though was getting her lovely dog .

One week on from teeny kitten arriving & we've decided that the sellers lied over how old he was.... We estimate he's 6 weeks old at most now, he's only just learnt to jump in the last 2 days & when we weighed him he was only 600 grams...internet results say he's 6 weeks.. he's an absolute joy though, happy, greedy, sleepy & bouncy....

Glad he's ok but pissed off at the breeders!
A week on & he's happy, healthy & playful, eating, weeing & pooping, but we knew straight away he wasn't 8 weeks old..we've had kittens before but only 4months to 6 months old...

My only worry is how his temperament will be seems ok at the moment, but my son adopted a 4 week old kitten years ago & cos it hadn't stayed with it's mum long enough it turned into the most nasty, aggressive & violent cat ever...

Do you still have Phoebe Cat? Are they mixing?

Yes! Pheobe (8yrs) will play with him for short periods..... Sophie cat (16 yes old) hates him..... Swiped him off the pouffe yesterday... But he still tries..
7yrs and 1 day till I can think about getting another cat, and possibly a dog. Not that I'm on any sort of a countdown..........................

Rather scaringly.... ( is that a word?)

Heard noises at the side of our house earlier tonight while son was here. ( we're detached , but sounded like someone was moving/dragging stuff behind the wall where the neighbours gate/ shed etc is.)
I passed it off as the neighbours outside , but their cars weren't there.
I went out into the back garden out of curiosity, everywhere in darkness so assumed must be the fence blowing.
Then later read on the Nextdoor site someone saying lots of cops were in the next road searching for someone.
Just read 2 people been arrested over the back in next road , not far from our house

I'll think twice before venturing out into the darkness on my own in future if hearing noises!

(Reminds me of the time years ago when we lived in West Way. Our dog was barking like mad late one Christmas eve and my parents just assumed it was revellers walking past and ignored it.
Woke up in the morning to cops next door , all their food and presents had been nicked , and sniffer dogs traced the burglars scent down my parents footpath and over the fence to neighbours house )
