Agreed, but people will travel to a pub they prefer and will only come back if the service improves. This is evident in The Bull. I have ‘meandered’ back a couple of times from the Bull lately
I havnt been in the Penny for a while it lost its appeal and for some reason I don’t like the Redhill.
No, they do filled rolls and snacks. We have a pizza place, Chinese, curry house within two minutes walk and patrons are allowed to order takeaway food and eat it in the pub (as long as you are drinking of course)
I drink Gin but they do a selection of beers, real ale and ciders as well as other essentials. I’m not really up to speed on what they have ale wise.

Irrespective of views - this is a nationwide award thing and they should be proud of themselves of being selected from the 100s of other pubs . Pubs in general get a raw deal and I know the new landladies have pulled this pub round from the brink of disaster.

Ive been really disappointed with it and found it overpriced. After their hygiene review I wouldn’t consider going back, even if they cleaned up their act
