Went through this morning at 0830 (well, 0832 according to Chris Evans), no traffic whatsoever. In fact the lights stopped me unnecessarily, but only for circa 20 seconds, hardly worth moaning about.
How much did we spend on something 'hardly worth moaning about'?

We seem able to manage part-time lights on much busier junctions. I have transitted it four times and sat there watching the light-show whilst nobody passed through. Maybe, when the herd stampede twice a day, it might perform some useful improvement but, most of the time, it's just a pointless random obstruction.

VG - I drive to eccleshall along that route every morning, can't say I've noticed any traffic in creswell let alone all the way to GB!
I'm normally going through there about 8:15-8:30ish. It was always backed up in creswell - at least to the first left hand turn after the 50 signs usually a lot further than that. perhaps it is just for a short time and goes down when you get there shoes. I've not noticed a difference with the lights but have not been looking so may have missed it's effects.

Was awesome this morning. 15 minutes to work instead of 30! I love school holidays!

Are you sure about that, Rodney?

Actually, I have seen it suggested that they have just plugged the hole and that a retro-re-fit may be possible.

You can always tell when a new road junction or set of lights is a bad idea when there are a large amount of skid marks left on the road surface. Quite scary that some of them continue across the white line and into the junction.

Went through there today and there are two sets of lights operational. Maybe that's it, I don't know. There were some very impressive skid-marks visible, though. Extra caution may be advisable...

1, Great minds think alike.

2, Not necessarily visible, though..
