Clothes for big & tall people?

I have a problem with clothes, particularly trousers in that they always come up too short.

There is not one shop in Stafford that I can get a pair of trousers and I struggle a little with tops. I used to be ok when DP and New look both had a tall section. Now both have got rid.

I've never been much of an online shopper, I like the old fashioned approach where you go into a shop, try and item on and then buy it if I like it.

I'm guessing I'm not the only one with this problem.

If there was a specialist Tall shop in Stafford, would people use it?

Admin edit: Thread title amended to aid searches, and moved to Stafford Chat as it is a request for a local shop.

Probably more of a demand for rotund shops, for older men in need of elasticated waistbands

Mentioning no names :pie:

if you need 1"or 2" longer it could be easily alter if of course there is enough room in the seams

My mate's 6 foot 6 and gets a lot of his stuff from Next.
Being more of a modern shape myself I'm finding it increasingly rare to find a rack full of 38 inch waist trousers! How times change eh!

I'm 6ft 7 ... I struggle at times but have learnt where to shop for the individual item I'm after.

I personally don't buy anything from Next, especially as the sleeves are never long enough for me.

If you want the Stafford experience of trying something on, order online from the tall range and M&S. I've bought quite a lot of clothing from them, especially formal trousers and a couple of suits. You can order and pay for it online, get it delivered into the Stafford store free of charge, try it on in the changing rooms and then take it straight back if you don't like it?

Hi Bob - what size are you - will have a look in the shop and see if we have any long leg length trousers
