as per the ipad 3 thread, i'm this close to buying one*, so was just wondering - how easy is it to access the internet by tethering it to your phone? specifically, an HTC Sensation?
the Sensation has a "wi-fi hotspot" app, which (unsurprisingly) allows the phone to act as a WAP.. presumably one can just use this to connect the ipad to it and use the 3G connection on one's phone? or is it not as simple as that?
i'd rather not faff about with rooting my phone/the ipad, although i have rooted HTCs before so it wouldn't be the end of the world if i had to..
* if you're going to tell me not to, please 1) give a better reason than just "apple are teh gayzor/expensive/etc." and 2) do it in that thread, so that this one is kept to deets about tethering kthnx
