This is my first proper day back in the world of electronic communication . 20 days ago I took a drunken bet that I could not survive without my Mobile, e mail or Laptop. I handed over my mobile , disabled my laptop and with the exception of my work emails had nothing to do with e communications . The first week was right up there with giving up smoking , ie Hell , but you know what, by the second weekend I was enjoying the experience. No texts to answer , if people wanted me they had to come and find me , I even wrote two letters ....something I havent done in years. I Switched it all back on today, my phone has been bouncing all night and my in box is bursting. So I deleted them all . Daft ? maybe .....Liberating ? definitley

We should be more careful what we wish for!

Welcome back Mr Marwood, even if I don't understand most of your posts.

Dunc it sounds like heaven!

I honestly dont think many people could survive a day, let alone 20!

(Lets not challenge everyone, Admin will be cross if we make the forum a ghost town!)

I seem to have inherited a friend to seems to think it adeqaute to next me at 8am near every morning saying
'Hi how are you!' WHY??

What did you miss the most? And did you really miss out on anything? x

CRL , I missed everything for about 72 hours , you worry that someone needs to contact you or your missing out on some amazing nights because its all been arranged via social networks . get through those first few days and it becomes quite relaxing. You can sit and read or focus completely at work without the distraction of text or calls, I didnt miss anything by the time I had finished . In fact it has taken me a while to pick on my previous habits around text and the Forum ...Sorry Admin :ohno:
