Good Morning Staffordshire!

Digital Editor

A few posts under my belt
Hi all. I'm Andy, the digital editor for Staffordshire Newspapers and as some of you might have seen on another thread, we have started a new feature where we post a daily "Good Morning" photo from our region.

It's designed as something that anyone with a connection to the area can participate in.

So if you have taken any photos from our beautiful corner of the country, including holidays, parties, nostalgia photos etc that you would like to see on the front page of the website, then please send them to staffordshirenewspapers@gmail.com and please mark them 'Good Morning Staffordshire".

The photos only stay live for 24 hours, so make sure you check the site every day, and today's image has been sent by your very own Gramaisc:http://www.staffordshirenewsletter.co.uk/News/Good-Morning-Staffordshire-21062012.htm

Hopefully this is something which will take off and prove popular and I'd love to hear any feedback you have. Also, you might have noticed that we now have active Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/StaffordshireNewsletter) and Twitter (https://twitter.com/#!/StaffsNews) accounts and are using more multimedia content online (e.g: http://www.staffordshirenewsletter.co.uk/Sport/Pre-season-gets-underway-at-Rangers-19062012.htm). If you have any feedback on this too, I'd love to hear it.

Cheers,
Andy

Not had much response to this. Anyone fancy sending some photos in? I'm sure are much better than the ones I seem to spend most lunchtimes taking! lol

I hope that this is not a simple way of disguising the fact that the paper no longer employs a full time staff photographer and an easy way of getting images rights free that it can then sell or use in print or internet editions

It is simply a way of brightening up the start of the day with a nice photograph on the main page. Nothing more.
