Parental control app for tablet, advise please

Can anyone recommend an app that will control viewings of 7yr old on a tablet.

It doesn't seem to have any parental controls installed on it, and the child wants to watch 'Monster High' clips on YouTube, but husband isn't so thrilled with other stuff she could potentialy view on there....

Any ideas/recommendations folks?

Assuming it's an Android tablet then this is pretty good I have found.

There are also control settings in your tablet's 'Settings' Menu that might be of use.

This is also pretty good and works well with Dolphin Browser, if you have it (which you should as it's the best Android browser at the moment).

Thanks John, I had noticed the first one on the Google Store, was hoping someone had used it and could either recommend it or something better :)

There was one specifically for YouTube too so might give that a go also...

littleme - presumably the child is watching youtube through the youtube app rather than in the browser? If so then you just need to set the parental controls on the youtube account I would guess?

Interesting... I really can't decide between about 5 or 6 browsers at the moment.... I think Opera is about the best for me.

Haven't Android tablets got built-in parental controls within the system itself?

For parental controls I use opendns. It's free to set up an account and needs a couple of changes to the settings on your router. The advantage (or disadvantage :)) is that it applies to every device that connects through your wifi.

Of course there are ways around it but for the level my kids are at it's enough.
