Domain name and web hosting advice

I'm going to register a new .co.uk domain and want hosting and at least 3 linked email accounts with it, can anyone recommend where best to go price wise?

I could accomodate it at a very good deal if I rebuilt your site for you. If you prefer AS IS hosting where you can upload to yourself I can't help I'm afraid - not because I don't want to but because I use weebly for all my websites and it "just works" for me.
Email addresses would be fairly unlimited @yourdomain.co.uk and I include the domain name, the site build AND email addresses for a pretty good monthly fee of just £6 (on weebly pro not the free one). One off setup fee of £30 and away we go.

Cheers everyone will take a look. Might be interested in website building in the future, gonna have a play around on the free builders first and see what I can come up with myself.

Rikki, if you try Weebly and are happy with your outcome, I can assist with linking it to a domain purchased elsewhere and with obtaining free email addresses for your domain too for a nominal fee ;)

Not wanting to pick fault in a nasty way, but POP? Really?
With people accessing email from so many devices these days I thought that imap was essential. Also imap can be had free quite simply with your own domain from outlook.com - up to 50 addresses free per domain.

You can have IMAP if you want. I don't bother with it though. Quite happy using pop with the two phones, laptop, desktop and tablet.

I know you can set POP to leave the mail on the server so that other devices get it also, but if I've read my email on one device and decide to delete it then it prevents me going through the same crap on all of my devices. I don't want the hassle of deleting emails on every device. If I delete it, I dont need it. Finito!

Haven't personally used POP for many MANY years. No offence to those who still like it, of course.

Generally I browse through my email on the phone or tablet, and delete anything that I don't consider important enough to be mithering about until I can get to a real computer. This keeps it on the servers until I get to one of the laptops or the desktop, where Thunderbird is set up to actually delete things off the servers when I tell it to. I like the compromise as it allows me to have a portable "to do" list.
For example, the iPhone is showing 3 emails, but I've got another 6 that can wait until later.

Still, horses for courses, etc.

But if you delete it from your iPhone that still means you've got to delete it yet again within thunderbird? What works for you works for you I suppose, but POP is not for me. :up:
