Enjoying a drop of red.
If its the best thing for the people, yes i do.
Ask the people who are in the Euro what they think and with the possible exception of the Germans, they will be shaking their heads.

France is still deep in the grip of recession with no end in sight...

The trouble is that the currency has to be set at one level and the countries that are using it are not all at one level economically. Added to that, elements of quite catastrophic mismanagement on the part of individual governments and the recipe for disaster was always going to be on the cards. The sheer size of the Euro and the differences in the economic performance of the member nations also adds to the delay in recovery for individual nations.

One size doesn't always fit all, however much certain people in 'authority' would wish it to.

Well like i said getting rid of all the individual govs for start, would cure allot of probs.
A united Europe could be a great thing for humanity.

Although I suspect most people disagree with you, you are fully entitled to your opinions.
What I would say is that it's bad enough a distant Westminster making all the decisions let alone an even more distant Brussels.
As for the Euro it is a political creation that does not reflect the individual economies that share it.

Was the EU first created to stop WW3?
If it collapses, would not take long for the old rivalry's to resurface, i would rather that didn't happen at what ever the cost.
I don't want to be drafted and sent to kill people, that under different circumstances could be friends and
i don't want to see people die for old men in suits that care little for anyone at all.

I read in the business section of the Sunday Times the truly astounding strength of the German economy with a public spending surplus of 16billion euros for the fist six moths of the year and a trade surplus of 23billion euros for the year up to July 2014.
I state all this to question whether the current level of the Euro reflects the strength of the German economy. Would you honestly value a German Euro at only 80 pence and conversely what would a Greek or Spanish Euro be individually be worth? 50 to 60 pence I suspect.
The Euro is flawed and has caught many countries in a straightjacket but the fear of the devaluation of savings and assets if they left, keeps them in the Eurozone.

I'm sure we can be mutual friends without having to share the same bed. (That refers to the European countries, may I add!)

And there's more. Our country is the United Kingdom made up of the nations of England and Scotland, Wales is a principality which is why it shares our court system, education etc with a devolved assembly, and the province of Northern Ireland.
Some good reading about the history of the Pound
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pound_sterling To the best of my knowledge R Murdoch didn't write this, but as usual I could be wrong.

Go and tell the Welsh. I'm sure I read last week that only 3% of the Welsh wanted Independence.
