Didn't someone suggest that it was being used to monitor alleged subsidence of the building? Not sure why they would need to leave it like that to do so, but i'm sure someone said that's why.

Perhaps it is a ruse to attract another visit from a minor royal to declare it open again.

There were still workmen inside the shop unit thingys , or whatever they are supposed to be, on the ground floor of both buildings of it on Saturday morning .
