Why is part of Stafford Place still fenced off and have cladding missing?

It has become a new tradition - in a thousand years, schoolchildren will be being taught about the heritage aspects - why Stafford's public buildings all have a piece missing and a small, symbolic fence near the entrance...

Didn't someone suggest that it was being used to monitor alleged subsidence of the building? Not sure why they would need to leave it like that to do so, but i'm sure someone said that's why.

Perhaps it is a ruse to attract another visit from a minor royal to declare it open again.

Yes, that one is, but the £38m bootscraper at Scaffold Place is about 5m above ground.

There were still workmen inside the shop unit thingys , or whatever they are supposed to be, on the ground floor of both buildings of it on Saturday morning .
